GRRR Squad Forum

We discussed this a bit before BF3 came out, how do we choose the team/s that will represent GRRR in the DoGaming League (or any other for that matter)

I have given this some thought and have decided (after getting opinions from the other admins) that we will chose the team democratically. I do reserve the right to amend the results if they are skewed but I believe that mostly we will all have pretty much the same choices.

Before I get into the process of how we will determine the team here are some assumptions (or rather facts) that you need to take into consideration before casting your vote

* We want to do well in BF3, that means people in the "1st" team will need to be committed. We won't be running the team like FiB but a bit more will be expected out of these players than the rest of the members. They should be both skilled and teamplayers, they need to be dependable and be the best choice to represent GRRR.
* We are assuming the teams will have 8 players, this means we will/could have 2 teams. Just because we have 2 teams it doesn't mean they are separate, they will practise together and there will be chances (DoGaming rules allowing) to move from the 2nd Team to the 1st team and vice versa
* Don't take this personally, if you have a problem with someone but still think He/She should be in the team then vote for them
* The Poll is running for about 3 weeks so squad up and play with people, just because they pwned in BF2 doesn't mean they pwn now, also pwning on FFA is different to clannies, make sure they are a team player
* This voting does not affect friendlies, we will still have friendlies that will be a mix of the two teams. This voting is purely for League purposes which includes matches and practises


So now the process. I am assuming that the league will consist of teams of 8, therefore you get 8 votes, choose 8 people who you think should make up the 1st team, simple hey? At the end of the voting the 8 people with the highest votes will make up the "1st" Team, then next 8 will be in the "2nd" team. If it turns out the teams are 12 people then the same logic applies but I will choose the first 12 members to make up the team, we don't have enough players make 2 teams of 12.


Once I have the teams I will make sure that the people selected for the teams are willing and able to commit. I will also choose two captain. The captains will have great responsibility and will need to be the most dedicated members of the clan.


If you have any objections then let me know otherwise, get on the field , play the game, choose your blood brothers/sisters


You don't need to vote now, vote only after you are sure and have played online with everyone

I did mention this in my top post but I really want to make this clear, there are no Holy cows in GRRR, choose people based on what you have seen they are capable of on the field of battle.

For example, I know I am awesome and you all love me but if you feel that I am actually a shit gamer and wouldn't know what to do with an RPG then it is totally fine if you don't put my name down.

Wow, tough call picking just 8. I assume though that you'd also have a couple of reserves in the first team, taking it up to 10 players?

Has there been a DryMan verdict? I think he should be in the team if he continues to play like he is now. Basically, does he qualify for selection?

Ja, Dryman if sucessful in his application - is an absolute THROMPER - that child has skillzors

edit: I'm sure your vote is open to change and we can change who can be selected at will. There is plenty o time - 26th is far away

I was thinking about reserves but if we have 10 people in a team then do they play in the second team? Or do they just sit around hoping to play? Then if they are permanent reserves will we have enough for 2 teams.

But we can always extend it to 10 (like I was going to do if the team needs to be 12 players). I am going to leave it at 8, so that people really think about who they think are the best for the clan.

Don't get caught up in the detail guys. This is a first draft. As I said I have discretion and can change if the need it there. I will put up a vote soon for Dryman's applications, if he is accepted then I will add him to the vote.

You can change your votes up until the vote closes so don't stress.

WTF!!! is up with all this double posting??? looks like a gross abuse of "power" to me.....
ok secondly...bf3 is out for less than a week...how the fuck should we know who can play or not....duhhh
