Surreal evening last night!

So, last night, after visiting friends in Pietermaritzburg for his Birthday braai/party, we wrapped things up at his house and decided to gather the remaining die-hards, pack them into a taxi and ship them all out to a club/bar somewhere in PMB. Once the taxi arrived (after several litres of shooters), the drunken mob sardineized (newly invented word for the day) the taxi from every possible angle, consumed every possible open space, whilst in-coherently abiding by the taxi drivers "no sitting on laps" rule.
OK, enough, this isn't a novel.
My point for this particular night, was I was wearing my 2009 blue GRRR shirt and the most surreal thing happened.
I was paparazzi-style followed around and praised by, wait for it, GRRR SQUAD FANS. W T F !
Seriously, there were a group of 18 to 20 something year olds, that recognised the GRRR SQUAD as us, GRRR and went star-struck, one dude actually said "We love you guys".
I seriously didn't know what to do with myself, it was the weirdest experience ever.
Anyway, I jolled it up for the rest of the night and went home EPICly drunk to be greeted with a friendly FU Hangover in the morning, so everything else Purdy much was the 'norm'.
clearly we are becoming somewhat of a cultural icon of sorts to have something like I've just experienced happen, it's really quite awesome, now that I think about it, even if it seemed like a fat joke to me last night.
Anyway, had to let ya'll know, too significant a moment to let pass.
