Mumble

Hey guys,

Some of you might have heard of Mumble or some of the appeals to use it. Mumble is an alternative to TeamSpeak and, among other things, it has reduced lag and an overlay to show who is talking/online in the channel.

Now for some time there was speculation as to whether Grrr should or even could get a server, those dark days are over! NoMaD found out that free channels are available on the Wage Mumble server and asked if the admins would create three channels for Grrr: BC2, Black Ops and Chat. The channels are password protected with "groan" - just like TeamSpeak.

If you guys would like to test it out, please download here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mumble/files/Mumble/1.2.2/Mumble-1.2.2.exe/download

On your first run, you will need to adjust your mic and username etc and add the Wage server - your settings should look like the below. Be sure to go to the Configuration drop down and enable the overlay.

The last step is to add the word "groan" to your Access Tokens - Server/Access Tokens.
Hope you guys like, maybe I should be running a poll... :hmmm:

Busy downloading it now.

We should decided whether to use Mumble or TS as our main comms method or we might miss each other in game.

Seems to work fine, distortion really hurts my auricles though. When the quality is good, its good.
