Hey guys me again, the new cat herder.....

So a very important topic. there was some discussion about doing another long weekend Grrr activity(started by your beloved previous clan leader)

So the Idea is to do this end of Feb, cos then the weather is still good and its enough warning for people to put in leave. I suggest we do this over the weekend of the 25th of Feb.

As far as I can recall the most popular option was to go to CPT or the Drakensburg. But I have a 3rd option. I know some people and would be able to arrange 2 flats on the beachfront in Toti/Kingsburg for next to nothing from a friend(Each flat can do 6 to 8 people) and are basically next to each other. Its a small complex and has a nice Braai area etc. Think this will also be a nice option(depending on the amount of interested people) , as to do the CPT option we would prolly have to park of at other grrr members houses all over the place(decentralized). And (Speaking from exp) the Drive down to CPT is horrible! and could cost a lot of money(Looking at about 2 grand per car one way prolly as Pravin is in shit). Considering that the more we spend the less money we would have for activities etc.

Basically, the Dbn one could be the most cost effective one and we could assist people to get there. Not to mention that the Legendary Lee lives there (So it has to be awesome).

Please guys need everyone to please give their input here. I know its impossible to keep everyone happy. Lets at least try to get something going here?

Whilst i'd like to commit, I am travelling overseas late January.
Finances permitting, I will try make a plannetjie. Durban is a good idea though?

Im gonna be out of travelling anywhere for a while... but definitely think this is a great idea for the clan.

Everyone voting for CT, do you guys have suggestions as to where we can have the gathering? Obviously I would love CT as well but realistically think Durban would be better seeing as we can score on accommodation.

Also, the accommodation is at the same place. Realistically @ CPT we would have to split accommodation (where ever people are willing to put us up).....

I love the idea guys, its also a bit difficult for me to make a commitment on this.

Now before anyone says anything about booking leave, unfortunately that's not how my work situation is arranged at the moment. I graft pretty much straight through the year, weekends included. But I get the entire December off.
Out team is still a bit small, so we cant really afford to take off during the year. This will hopefully start changing towards the end of next year, when I start heading my own department and employing my very own minions to do my work for me. Until then it will be a bit difficult to make any commitments.

But if I get lucky maybe a I can, i just can't tell so far in the future, it all depends on our calendar, which constantly changes.

I would like to add a suggestion for you guys, I've got a family house in Knysna, which can sleep 8-10 people. maybe not quite big enough, but the offer is there.

I am up for anything. Having free accommodation would be a big bonus and i think should be one of the primary deciding factors.

But February is probably not going to be do-able for me. Its my 40th bday, i may already be going away, and having a party somewhere so money is going to be a problem.
