Hi Guys,

So, some of you had a moment last night to try out Heroes & Generals (free game) on steam. A worthy 1.2Gb download IMHO.
It's still in BETA so can be a little rough around the edges, but remains a solid game in my opinion.

The game REALLY opens up once you reach TIER 2 and play the campaigns, with Tanks, Airplanes etc....That's where the most fun, biggest reward lies.
Now reaching TIER 2 requires probably about 3 Hours of gameplay if you play the objectives and get that valuable XP. (about 4-5 hours if you really struggle and just go for kills rather than play objectives)

Once you are on Tier 2 the game will blow you away.

To start; it is simple and seems confined within the training missions of Tier 1, but hang in there it will all be worth it.

Anyway - what are your thoughts - I know its VERY different game, you perhaps cannot realistically compare this to COD/BF/etc since the mechanics of it are quite different.

It has some good measures to it... but I'll need to put more game time into it to have an opinion.

From what I have experienced, the game has some glitches, but I haven't had anything major.

I was only playing alongside BadA$$, and we all know he gets distracted and wonders off... so would be nice to try this with a squad.

Downloaded, will check it out.

played a little with Stu and Jack. Its quite fun, reminds me of Americas Army somewhat. Need to get used to the lag and the visuals.

But the random death from who knows where is annoying...

Yea... its harder to spot enemies, so if they get you in their sights before you see them... you are dead!

Had a proper go at the game, now tier 2. It seems the way to play it, is to be cautious. Just like in real battle, you need to observe secure and then move... if you run in like a doofus then you will definitely die and not get a kill. If you work as a team you can push anyone off an area. Team work and slow methodical movements is the name of the game guys.
