Hello guys and girls

With our annual massive meetup around the corner (grrrAge 2014 baby), its slowly coming to the time where we will be electing and voting in a new ring master for this circus we so love!
For those of you younglins that haven’t been here for one of these, every year the clan changes its leadership – the clan leader rotates. That means I get given the boot as maestro, and another person gets their time to shine.. It gives a fresh outlook on the clan for the year, allows for people to step up and ensures that we keep the ball rollin rollin rollin.

Who can be the clan leader? The answer is simple – anyone who is currently part of [grrr]. The obvious points are that the person needs to have the clans best interests at heart, be able to make a few decisions, and have some degree of visibility. Also, there may or may not be some confidential matters amongst clan members that require resolution. All in all, it’s a fantastic opportunity for anyone to be a bit more involved in the runnings of the clan. Obviously we are adults with full time jobs and lives, so its not the same as being a CEO of a company. It just requires you to lead.

The first step that needs to happen is that we need to get a potential list of candidates. This comes in the form of nominations. A nomination must be accepted by the nominee to be put forward.

For example, I would say “I NOMINATE JEFFREY!”. Until such a point that Jeffrey accepts his nomination, he would not go onto the next phase (which is the voting). This ensures that someone who doesn’t want to really lead, doesn’t get forced to. It keeps things fair too.

This here nomination process will run for a period of time until we have sufficient candidates to go into the voting phase.

Please keep this thread on topic. Its encouraged (but you don’t have) to substantiate your nomination with reasoning.

While I know life is crazy busy for you, I know that its clear as daylight that you love this clan and you put in more work than anyone else on the website. You also understand what it takes.

He is a great guy who loves this clan and fellow clan mates. A Ginger needs to lead some thing in this life time.

Wow, this year has gone by fast. So we can finally correct the mistake of last years voting with a new candidate for 2014/15 (j/k Phats, you've done a great job in a fragmented gaming year).

I'll certainly second the Duck's nomination, although as the only person to have been clan leader twice so far, I would certainly understand if he didn't want to manage us again.

I have two nominations of my own - the first for Tyger, and the second for Paul. Both of these guys are extremely active on the forums, and are leaders of the BF team.

I nominate Tyger and Paul aswell. Obvious choices

My nominations goes to Tyger and Grant.

Tyger is a well rounded player and is active in the games being played currently - (nothing intended Phats, but missed you in BF)
Grant for just being Grant - a super hero of note !!!

I would like to nominate Jarrod (J_Thang), now that he is staying in S.A. for the foresable future I think he would make a good leader again. I also like that he is involved or tries multiple games. This is something Phatso started (with some resistence) that I think we need to continue.

Second would be Tyger because well, he just gets things done and is a strong personality in the clan

Third would be Grant, intially you think WTF that is crazy but he is definitely core to the clan and is very vocal and I have a feeling despite the weird shit (e.g. GAZA, ja you guys know) he can say he is actually quite responsible.



As for my nomination, lets see who else accepts, I would like some fresh blood so if there are enough people then I will decline my nomination but if no one steps up then Ja, what the hell I will herd you bunch of cats for a year

Tyger, you go to the Definite list. Paul too, Dryman, these are all good choices.

I'll add Onyx to the list, she's got a brilliant head on her and will do a fantastic job too IMHO, super efficient at organizing things, totally up to the task.

Flycatchr, always there too, hard working and good work ethic, will add a touch of style, our resident super artist.

Fluffy, no wait, Thor, no wait, Chronos, the recently married, responsible and you'd want him on your side in a fight (that boy answers YES to "do you even lift bro?"), has been with us from the start and gives of his best whenever it's possible, you can ask for nothing more.

StuBacker, who couldnt want a NINJA as a clan leader? Also someone you'd want on your side in a dark alley (this child can kill with his pinky finger, no joke) - an ICON from the first GRRR4ge video series, the kind o personality you'd want to lead this Clan.

OK - so thems my thoughts

I nominate Onyx, Tyger and Paul.

Tyger, guy, is a good leader.
Paul, because I want him to suffer.
Onyx will kick both of their asses and lead us anyway.
