Hi guys

Ok, so the BETA is with us now and a lot of people are having performance issues. So lets post some tips about how to optimize or any other advice here please.

REMEMBER THIS IS A BETA AND THINGS WILL CHANGE! DON'T GO UPGRADING JUST YET

Obviaaaaas that YMMV, but everything is worth a shot to get the game running smoothly.

GFX card stuff
1. Nvidia users in Windows 8 - it is advised that you use the latest BETA Geforce drivers.
2. Nvidia users in Windows 7 - it is advised that you use the 320.49 Geforce drivers.
3. ATi users in either - it is advised you use the latest BETA Catalyst drivers.

Config file - Sauce
For everyone, this is worth a try.

After you find which driver works for you best here are some console tweaks to max frames even further. Go to your bf4 directory and create a new txt document. rename it to 'user.cfg' and open it to paste this.

Save it and now try a game.

Misc
1. Turn OFF motion blur
2. Domination tends to have less stutter than Conquest
3. See what Vsync does for you instead of just turning it off
4. Fiddle with resolution downscale / windowed mode etc

Also add the "loading screen" and "Directx" error is apparently due to PB. Update manually.

I sorted my issue with getting "gadget 1" to bind to the key I want.
If you unbind all the "gadget 1" bindings and just use that key on "Toggle Underslung Weapon" it will activate it as "gadget 1".


So if you had your paddles as "gadget 1" on a specific key, just bind that key to the "toggle Underslung Weapon" and it will work.
Now all my keys are as they were in BF3. So stoked!
