Hello grrrbians

I have some good news , and then some bad!

I have been engaged now for 2 years , originally we would have gotten married in March , but after opening the Hair-Salon , we decided to postpone a little.. And now we have re-taken the arrangements..

Bad news is , i am moving to a new place , and as "murphey" should have it , no telephone lines!...the telkom telephone-line poles are there , but the body corporate of the place does not want phones for now...they will think about it..which in return means i cannot play online anymore..Big-Bummer!!!

I have already spoken to El-Presidente , and Jarrod has said that i can remain a member of grrr , even if i cant compete with u for now..

I will still be on the forum everyday , spamming the shoutbox , still post simple and totaly unneccasary things in the forums and try to hang on to my Online-Village-Idiot-Award for as long as possible

I really hope this is ok with all the grrrbians , my "other" family......

Dude tell you body corporate to get fucked! I can understand if they don't want you building a meth lab in your back yard but a fucking telephone line!

Geez I would strip my moer!

Otherwise, good luck! I will be moving next year sometime as well. Hope I don't experience the same problems

I was kind of getting used to two idiots hanging around! Best of luck!

If you bought the new place I would insist they install telephone lines. They cannot restrict this in this anyway or form unless you live in a polygamist cult in a compound then they can restrict telephone lines.

OK , just to clarify somefing , im not buying a place , we are renting with the option to buy after a 12 month period..

I'm moving into the new place the 1'st December , so my current telkom line will be de-activated from today.... :'( (Before the 7'th to aviod a roll-over month) . luckilly i RAPED that line last night , cause for some odd reason i was connected on 4mb again.. I think telkom sorted the problem , so i had the 4mb line for 1 night....

This is why i have made to post now , otherwise i would have made the post a bit later....

Soooo...

We are all settled and stuff , and all is well.. but that gave me loads of time to think , and now its time to share the thoughts.

1. - Actualy belonging to a gaming clan , and not being able to play for them??? :hmmm:
2. - The future posibility of getting a Telkom line - NOT Happening!!
3. - The COD team / Lack of COD team situation - Well , that speaks for itself - and I know that some of the team isint keen at all , so
whats the point anyways? Sorry Shady , but we know its not happening!

I have to say that there is no other way , and i formally resign from grrr.

It has been fun , its been interresting and its been grrreat! I hope that we all can remain friends , and i'll try my best to come say howzit every so often.

Jarrod , best of luck for next year , i hope you guys build a team with BC2 and rise to the top!!!! (PS - the arrangement still stands for the 23'rd )

On a positive note - May you and your families have a blessed Christmas , and a happy 2010! Please travel safe if you are traveling , and even at home!

"MAY HAPPINESS AND GOOD FORTUNE BE YOUR SHADOW IN LIFE!"

Jean, as saddened as I am to ead your post, I can't say that I'm suprised. It sems to me that you've been rather disgruntled about things for a while, at least since rAge. Regardless, we'll certainly miss your presence on the shoutbox every day, you've been one of the most active members in this area, if not in-game.

As to the COD thing, I think that you're right. The reality is that there is only so much that Shei can do, if people don't commit to practices and games then we don't have a chance of putting together a team. Sheri did her best, she organised practice slots, got us a team coach to teach us the finer points of COD4, and arranged friendlies for us to play. And not many people turned up for any of the above.

I think that the failure of MW2 and it's lack of dedicated servers killed this off for us before it had even started. There is no way that we will ever be competitive at COD4, the game is too established and there are too many clans playing it. Our hope was to move into the new COD along with everyone else, and that just wasn't to be.

Anyway mate, you're always welcome to hang out on the forum, we'd like to hear from you. And of course, if you do get DSL in your new complex, you are welcome to come and check out the games that we're playing and join in again.

All of the best to you and your fiance going forward.
