I know it's a bit of an off-topic....
But I think we should consider VBulletin Publishing Suite.
For a Long time we've used SMF Forums, which is free, we've recently tried to spice it up a bit with a new skin, but essentially it's all still the same.
We've tried bolting on some Content Management Systems, but they just dont really integrate.
Have a look at a clan using vBulletin publishing...theres a lot you can do with it.
http://www.do-or-die.eu/content.php
http://www.miaclan.net/
http://cxnteam.com/
etc
They give you great support fully migrating SMF -> vBulletin, so you don't loose topics n what nots.
Obviously its a big change.
$285 for a new license is also quite a lot. but the system is fully integrated - forum, blogs and content management the lot.
Plus there are meeelions of plugs ins made by people for everything to do with Server monitoring for BF3 LOTRO WOW etc, purdy much it's the biggest one out there with the most support.
Anyway - 2c spent
(I think the wargeeks use vBulletin too!)
