If a plane was taking off and climbing at 420 feet per minute at 410kmp/h, what is the altitude of the plane after it traveled 230km's?
If you want a clue let me know

Seriously? Herewith my assumptions:
1. The plane flies at a constant speed of 410KM/h right from take off until it have flown 230km from take off
2. I assume that the altitude is based on the same ground level. If you fly 230km from cape town to JHB then the ground level would have increased thereby messing up the calculations. If you fly from JHB to Cape Town, then the ground level would have decreased thereby increasing altitude.
3. I assume that the plane increases altitude all the way and doesn't stop halfway through or something.
4. I assume this is a serious question.
The calculations is as follows:
plane flies 410 km / hour
this equates to 410,000 meters per hour
this equates to 6,833.333... meters per minute
in order to fly 230KM, or 230,000 meters will thus take 33.65854.... minutes (or 2019.512 seconds)
since the plane increase altitute at a rate of 420 feet per minute, this means that in 33.65854 minutes, it would have reached 14,136.58537 feet.
Assume the measure of a 1 foot is according to the itnernational standard as defined in 1959 then the plane will be 4,308.83122 meters higher than what the point of origin. However, should you have opted for the Utrecth Foot measurement instead, then the plane would only be 3,856.460488meters higher. The funny one is that should you opted for the Bordeaux foot measurement, then the plane would be 5,049.786205 meters higher.
