Hubris wrote:Shit I missed this entire thread, my bad! Well, I guess I'll have to drive back to Centurion each night. Probably not ideal but I try not to drink, so I should be ok. Otherwise if there is still the option, I would like to join the accommodation list :) If its all too far gone, it's my problem don't break your backs about it.

I always book an extra bed for occasions just like this so there is a bed for you, Hubris :)

I organized for Heatherdale to supply the charcoal/wood for the braai.
To keep in mind: I also told them that we weren't going to have a huge thing (about 20 - 25 people including us staying there - I tried to count in my mind's eye how many usually come) as they will charge us extra for it being a 'function' if quite a lot of non-residents arrive. If it so happens that we do end up inviting the world, then I am sure we will be able to organise that when we are there and they can charge us accordingly.
Food: easy to prep and eat off paper plates?
Drink: are we ok with getting drinks that can be drunk out of their glass/beer containers? There are glasses in the rooms so for those who want to indulge in the more serious drink, we can use those? Not sure if anybody drinks wine.

Usually to keep things simple and cheap we get Boerie and Rolls plus 2 cases of beer. Any hard tact you bring your own. I think some one makes a salad as well
