The guy from Heatherdale phoned me today to ask if we are still interested. So I mentioned to him that we found more affordable accommodation and that he must rather not worry about us staying there anymore. He then said he is willing to get his boss to organise a good discount for us.

Lemme know if I can send him an e-mail to tell him, 'thanks, but no thanks'.


EDIT: I had a look on Google Maps and plotted out the distance from Fern Glen to The Dome vs Heatherdale and The Dome. Its 6 kms from Fern Glen compared to 2 from Heatherdale, so I don't think travelling will be an issue.

Odi, I suggest letting him give us his 'best price'. Then we get to choose between the two places. However, considering Heatherdale's original pricing, they'd have to come in considerably cheaper for us to consider them. I find it distasteful that they decide to bump up the price so significantly after we've been good customers for the last couple of years.

However, we do need to get this all sorted quickly now. Odi, can you please ask them for best pricing in the next couple of days, so that we can decide and make our booking early next week?

Sorry that I haven't really followed up on this lately. I was kinda waiting on hearing an answer regarding the team selection for the BC2 comp at rAge. At this time, we are not sure if only the top teams in the premier league will go through or if its open to whateva teams wanna play at rAge.

If we do not make the grade to play in the BC2 comp at rAge, are we still going? I need to know before we make a booking.

In order to keep the discussions located in one place, lets discuss clan attendance in the other thread, and return to this one once that has been decided.

Fern Glen phoned me to say that other people have phoned inquiring about the "The Cabin". If we want to keep the booking, I need to pay the R7700 ASAP!
In the other thread, I counted 14 people signed up.

Should we then only book the Cabin, Suite and Cottage?

We just need to confirm who's staying at Fern Glen. Of those 14 who signed up, quite a few are in JHB and may only want to stay there for a single night (Saturday), or not at all?

Also, some of the travellers may need Thursday night accomodation too?

I'm one of those, I'd need a room from the Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Pleae can everyone put their requirements down here ASAP, so that Shadey can get the rooms confirmed tomorrow.

I'll pay what I can out of the slush fund, but unfortunately there have only been a few regular contributors every month (Myself, Daz, Skoups, Shadey and Lep). Add to that your one off cash injection that gives us some money, but not a huge amount. After the payment of the server costs, we currently have about R2K in the slush fund.

I'll do a full recon of the account later and post the details. Once Shadey calculates the final cost for accomodation, we can net off the remaining funds in Slush, and everyone will have to contribute their portion of the outstanding balance.

Once some of my Other moneys come through (4 weeks now I've waited), I'll put R1k in @ least.
