We can still help the nuts by giving them opposition on White Pass. It might even benefit them more to have one of their reserves on our side so that they can give a 1st hand account of what we did that worked etc. With this in mind, I suggest we get one of their reserves to do the opening move buggy run with our infants team so that they see the routes. I'd also suggest that Lep drives the quad seeing as he knows the routes well. Having said that, the Nuts'll probably just DESTROY us and completely shatter our delusions of grandeur...

wrt Atacama practice tonight, I think we should focus on getting our chopper team sussed and timing the various opening ideas we have so far. In the absence of having a full team and certain key players (*cough* Captain Lee *cough*), feedback from everyone who is at the practice tonight will be all the more essential in helping him to decide on the strats we go ahead with in the match. Everyone is pretty good with mentioning after pracs and matches what worked and what didn't, so there's probably no need to point this out, but let's all make the effort to post something that will be of use to Lee in deciding things.

i know you had a tough night last night.. lemme know what seemed to have worked at what didn't.
Really soz that i couldnt be there last night - I really wanted to see how this map played out, LIKE REALLY WANTED to see it in a clan situation.
Anyway, I know we've got a smart buch here, so I need your feedback on how things went.
Cheers

Feedback
Ok so here is my feedback, we swapped positions and I'll be gunning with Fly if that is ok? I will arrange some time with him so we can practice and get our strat sorted out...
To be bluntly honest with the new dart gun's the chopper is pretty useless now. Although I still think that it could cause some serious ticket loss. Fly and I would need to find the best possitions on the map to have the chopper hold and fire at the enemy.
I found the that the V-Optic and V-Reload are the best set-ups I think the rockets for the tanks wont really make a difference. So in my opinion the gunner should take V-Optic allowing for the chopper to stay out of 'harms' way for the most point and poon from a distance with the V-Reload function from the pilot the reload times are increased greatly.
The chopper is useless if it gets in the range of the darts so we either have to stay really high or on the out skirts of the map and provide covering fire and or suppressive fire on points forcing the infantry units to go to ground.
Another point is! We have to take out the AA gun at B I don't care if we can use it or the enemy as a gunner in the chopper I would prefer to have this out of the way so we don't have to worry about it to much!
Do you think there is a possibility of having another round on our servers with some cannon fodder for fly and myself to practice on? I have not been concentrating on the chopper... further edit to come

Was capping and Holding B a strong-point for BBH in the game? Did we try it?
I still think it's absolutely essential to get there fast and hold it, but does it work?
There is a lot of cover at B and with the super AA gun, it's more important than ever.
From what I've read, the patch also makes that AA more potent VS troops.
Not sure what opening move you guys tried out.
the reason I was suggesting the move to take B 1st, was that anything else is too sluggish for this pace of game IMHO.
Plus a chopper run without it's gunner will not go down before the drop-off, it's quite unlikely that the enemy chopper will get 100% hits on every shot taken so the bail trick will work well I think. The chopper can fly in, take a hit or two and circle out of there for repair whilst one of the 7 man B Grabbing Monsters gets to the AA to take down the chopper that is pursuing our chopper.
Anyway, what did BBH do in their opening move? did they move everything into A/C 1st or try make a buggy run to B?

they did a buggy run to B and held it frikken well!
I think if there is something to be learnt we all need to move to a point together, we have a lot of disjointed play and it does not fair well for us... I think we all need to concentrate on moving as a squad/team and this should be mandatory! For all clan members even on the public's!

Thanks ice, It's just as i thought.
Since it's a linear map, holding the Center Flag is paramount and if we can get it 1st we'll win.
If we get a chance over the weekend, I'd like the three of us (Fly, Ice and Lee) to practice the opening move.
- Fly & Ice join a Squad and I start another squad
- Myself and Fly spawn to start the round and do the LIVE LIVE thing - just for good measure
- Both run for chopper, if I get there 1st @ least that will start the rotors for a quick take-off and once Fly is close enough, swop to gunner. If fly gets there 1st, he can at least start the chopper and low-take-off-and-bank for a quick pickup
- Fly flies me over the ship (litteraly over since a bail is a straight down drop) just to the side of the flag so that i can run for cover into the ship wreckage and cap and my fellow squad members can spawn on me at that point - even though in our prac they won't be there
- Once Bailed, I'll call " I'VE BAILED, SPAWN ICE" upon which you can spawn as gunner to engage the enemy or wait for a Call from Fly. If the chopper is getting HIT in-game, then I will not CALL "I'VE BAILED, SPAWN ICE" - the call goes to fly as he will have to use his judgement on the possibility of losing 2 tickets or getting to safety where you can spawn and help repair.
Anyway, this should only take us about 30 minutes, so I'll look out for you guys online and see if you're keen over the weekend - maybe even tonight if we're all around at the same time.

Lep and I will be around to help out whatever time tonight.
We really gotta get the opening move sorted.
Do you think it would be a good idea to have 1 of the infants take a buggy to B as a "backup" ?
So just in case Lee gets shot, there will be another person to spawn on there.
Remember our test Lee? The jeep was faster than teh quad.
BBH were taking a buggy to B and having all spawn... to our detriment, it worked very well for them.
They only brought up their tanks later to reinforce B after troops secured it.

thanks to all who pitched up last night, was very instructive.
if possible sometime/sametime it would be cool to have a pwn the chopper night tonight. i also want to find out how far the missile can shoot from.
One other thing - lee - dac seems to be unable to get their server set with a PW - thus it will be ranked, thus ANYONE can join, so if we get a DISCO, then that space will be filled. i am very uncomfortable with that. If i have any say in the decision, our server or sgs. (dont think sgs up yet?)
