Yes thanks I understand that.

EDIT -- Well I'm stumped. The server config shows commanders as enabled, so does procon. The spectator slots are 2 on config and 2 on procon. The player limit is 44 on config and 40 on procon as it should be (40 - 2 - 2) but still no commanders. I keep getting the error no commander slots available in game but when I test the vars.commanders in procon console it returns true.

So wtf. It worked not a week ago but now with the same setting its not working?? Maybe it has to do with the fact that we have non-commander game modes in the rotation, I dunno. Or maybe it's a multiple procon issue that someones settings are overwriting I have no idea.

Hubris the map must be on a conquest map. have you checked that?

BTW as I've said before - if you have even 1 MAP in rotation that does not support commander mode - COMMANDER is disable for ALL.

Need to carefully research which maps are 100% commander compliant

ITS FIXED! Turns out when I removed the Domination game mode maps it started up with the commanders no problem. Looks like Rush and Obliteration don't affect the commanders, but for some reason Domination does. I've retested it and confirmed. Weird. I suggested we add in some domination near the end of the list just to get the server going with players, not doing that again.

http://blogs.battlefield.com/2013/09/road-to-bf4-game-modes/

This above site lists that commander mode is available in the following game modes:

Conquest
Obliration
Rush

It is not available in the following:
Domination
Defuse
Team Deathmatch
Squad Deathmatch

Thanks for sorting out the commander mode, really appreciated.

Nice Hubreno.

Can I bring up another subject now. Map rotation? BF4 has been out for a while now and people are starting to get favourite maps etc. Do we need to revisit our rotation to maximise the number of times the favourites occur?

Phatso will agree that Resort comes up way too much and when Railroad comes on people complain IMO.

Are there stats for our server somewhere i.e. number of disco's per map etc. Then we can see which maps cause people to leave, which maps have the least amount of disco's

mix it up regularly - once a week completely change the rotation.

Hmm... Well I like the idea of keeping it dynamic, but I think people like to have reliable servers. Conquest must always be bread and butter, although the smaller versions would probably interest people who want to play competitively.

Domination is always a favourite, but it seems to break commanders - so it can't be run with Conquest. Rush I think everyone agrees is always nice. How do we feel about obliteration? Personally I don't mind it but the go on forever thing happens often.

Defuse is a search and destroy type thing not really suited to public play. Then there's the squad and team deathmatches - really overlooked IMO in the server browser. So maybe go one week Conquest Large, Rush, Obliteration and the next Conquest Small, Domination, Team Deathmatch?

I know we can create a text file for the maps and call it so each week would be easy to load but I don't know how to do that yet.

I quite like both Hainan and Railway lol :) I can confirm Hainan doesn't appear anymore frequently than any other map. Flood zone is IMO the worst map in the history of Battlefield. As for crashes, I don't think it's connected to map but we should try figure this out.

By the by, looks like the reserved slots actually don't keep slots aside and will kick people - but I havn't been able to test it on a full server yet. Andrew and I are testing a few things and will report back on it soon.

I always say (well I do now) consistency is key. We need to keep the maps consitant so that players know what they are in for. We should only change the maps when it is clear they are no longer popular
