I will also speak to Skoup and Hubris and ask if they are willing to be the captains.

As part of the Announcement I am going to include the following T & C's

* If any member as a problem with the teams they must PM me so we can discuss. Unless notified I will assume that each team member is happy with the selection and is willing and able to participate.
* The captains will have the final say on who the match/prac 8 for each week will be. This will be determined by player availability and the Captains discretion
* Myself and the 2 captains will come up with a team policy that will govern the commitment requirements of the players, transferring between the two teams (up until the beginning of each league season)

This post is mainly for Hurbis and Skoup but the others are more than welcome to comment.

We had the first of many in house clannies yesterday, can you two start thinking about your teams specifically

* Are you happy with your the team members
* If you aren't how are we going to decided on transfering between the team
* was the commitment there? Do we have enough dedicated members to make it through the entire DoGaming League

I would like to get the teams bedded down by the end of December so that we have a month were we can really prac in preparation for the league

From my side the guys were all committed, at least we were ready by 20:00... ;-)

Still some minor teething problems needed to be resolved with one or two players in terms of them talking too much, but that should be fine as well.

With regard to the maps we've played, I thought we agreed that we will be playing an INFANTRY only map as well, what happened to that? We've prepped for Metro (and that would have been our best map) but never played it.

Denis, I'm not sure if this was posted in the Baggers forum or in the general one, but organising games with a 8:00pm start will always be a problem, particularly for those of us with kids. what we always did in the BC2 days was to have an 8:30pm start, with players congregating from 8:00pm onwards for warmup, last minute strat discussions etc.

Dunno about the maps, from my side I always thought we'd be playing Seine, Bazaar and Tehran.

I will be happy if we can start at say 21:00, but then we will not be able to play 3 maps, in fact, I think we need to drop the maps to only 1 or maybe 2.

I say we keep it at 20:30 but definitely drop it to 2 maps. We have always actually only done 2 maps

Agreed 2 maps starting at 8:30. So far I'm very pleased with the result and the initiative/commitment from all the players. As far as selection goes, I would like to see/hear more from Cronos, Tyger and Geth. If I remember correctly Geth can't be considered? In any case I think they are all good players who deserve consideration in season. For example, Tyger has great pedigree, but I have not seen much of his play and I have little idea of what he can do and what dynamic he would bring to the team.

Correct Geth kind of took himself out of the game because he couldn't always commit, being in deepest africa and all

Tyger is good, in pretty much any FPS, he got his national colours for BF2142, went to Singapore, the works. Why I didn't consider him at first is that at the time his ADSL was not up but now it seems like it will be up permanently by the end of the year at least (Telkom said 3 weeks).

Infact I regard his skill and experience enough that I would be willing to forfeit my place in the team in order for him to be in the Baggers and strengthen it. My only pause would be that if Lep couldn't play for some reason (for an extended period) the only other armour person is Murgs (I were to move to the Nutz). That is unless some else plans on dedicating some time to armour.

That is why I chose the captains and why their words final, if you feel someone doesn’t belong whether they are not good enough or not committed you can boot them. Obviously we need to discuss as there will always be ramification where it is hurt feelings or messing up the team you are poaching the guy from BUT do not feel that the teams you have been given are the end, they MUST evolve into 2 slick machines that give us the best possible chance to prove to the community that we can FUCKING ROCK THE SOCKS OFF any other clan.

Hubris I am a seasonal sub at best. I will be around for some months and away for others. When I am around I have lots of time for pracs and games, when I am away my latency is only good for criticism. I will play for whatever team is willing to take me on those terms.
