Okay, we're all boozed up for next weekend. I wasn't able to get the Glen Grant, I'll take a look at another bottle store during the week.

Inventory is as follows:

2x Klipdrift
1x Captain Morgan
2x Jamesons
2x Southern Comfort
24x Black Label
24x Peroni
6x Red Wine (Merlot, Pinotage, and Cabernet Sauvignon)
4x White Wine (Chardonnay and Sauvenion Blanc)

3x 2L Coke
2x 2L Tab
2x 2L Coke Zero

All of the above came to a staggering R1900. With 17 attendees expected, we have a total kitty of R2550, So at this stage we have R650 to buy all of the food (not enough).

If we could get another R50 from everyone, that would put our food kitty up to R1700, which should be plenty. Would everyone be able to manage another R50 each?

Nothing but beer for me. None of this hard stuff or even wine here.

Just deposited R500 into the Slush Fund (ref: XXXL - PHATSO).
Apologies for it being a bit late, was a busy weekend away from the PC.

That is one serious looking inventory, even by my standards ;)

LET ME TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SAY A MASSSSSIF THANK YOU TO DAZZY AND JARROD (and anyone else involved).

THANK YOU!!!! :wooty:

I think we've spent too much moolah on hard stuff and perhaps wine... cos now, what about the food. That's more than R100 per person spent on booze there.

As mentioned earlier in the thread Murgs, I've asked for an additional R50 per person (taking it to R438). I bought booze based on the requests that people made. The original R150 pp requested was a thumb suck, so it seems that wasn't enough. Of course, there will probably be a fair amount of drink left over, we'll have to divvy that up afterwards.

We're also going to need to decide what food we want. One problem with doing things at my place, there's no way that I've got enough crockery/cutlery for 18 people. I also only have one weber braai, which is nowhere near big enough. I assume that Dazzie can bring his braai over to help out with that, but we're probably still best off sticking to food that we can eat off paper plates without cutlery (will save me from a huge amount of cleaning up on Sunday too). Things like boerewors rolls, chicken pieces, hognuts etc. for the braai, accompanied with Crisps and other salty snacks. Not the classiest of meals, but it isn't the classiest of venues either ;)

Thoughts?

Easy-to-eat finger foods are fine with me. I'll put in the extra R50 when I do the transfer on Wed.
