Ok we will definitely re-open the roster for Leg 2 and set some definitive rules, if we can't get 11 guys then we can look to recruit. Grrr isn't against recruiting but we are selective.

But back to Sundays games. We have 8 confirmed plays, lets get them into the squads that they will be in, if you couldn't attend the prac for the strats then it is your job to find out what they exactly were.

Seine Crossing. Round 1 (US) FiB: 212. Round 2 (RU) FiB: 195. Match FiB 407.

Good game guys, FiB were savage as expected. We did well to disrupt them and I think we held our own considering. If we can continue focusing on the enemy armour and defending with two guys, we really are able to compete in the armour game. Unfortunately, FiB were very precise about their movements and we struggled to hold our gimme flags. We did well to mostly keep their armour out the game though.

We did go up two even three flags every now and then, but it seemed that extra flag tended to be their back flag and it was quickly capped away from us. If we can get onto another flag as soon as possible, preferably not a hotly contested one (maybe our back flags) it would have helped keeped the flags rolling and the bleed at bay. Things went quite well in the armour, Cr0n0s and Paul did top jobs - it was steamy rep sauce!

All in all good stuff, let's get some more squad work in with squad rush and practice skirmishes. SSG will bring their anti-armour game, so we need to bring ours. Focus on those engis! I'll set up an armour / anti-armour drill on Tuesday and infantry on Wednesday. I think we've all got a grasp of the 4 maps we want to play so a quick talk and spawn check is fine. If possible Tyger, lets try delay the game to Monday, we are still skimp on numbers.

Thanks to everyone who kept their cool, we did get a little nervous there a couple times, but it's much more positive out there. By focusing on facts and opportunities, we really are much more effective in our decision making. However, we still need to be moar disciplined about not combing our defence and attack elements on defence, if we lose that battle, its a wipe and we have no flags. Best to keep our options open, always keep at least one squad mobile.

I'm adding my recordings to my cue of conversions and uploads. It takes so long, but I'll make sure to post my channel so you guys can get all the knife fights and games for the season. I think the only one I kind of messed up was ESWAT, but I got a good 75%. If you guys have recordings, please start compiling your dank so that by the end of Leg 1 we can have everyone's perspectives for Leg 1 loaded and posted for homework watching in the break.

I stick to my words: we did an outstanding job guys. To play against Team RSA and give them something to think about is no small feat and is something we should proud of. This is especially true considering that from a morale POV, we are.. WERE on the back foot. Hooah!

I think had we played as we did last night against any other team, we would of stomped hard. Really, I don't know what it was about last night, but I think we played our best we have all season and its awesome to see progress over a few weeks. Remember, its a shitlong season. This is only the first leg and for seeding purposes really.

The Armor squad are finally gelling like macheeens and taking down FiB's armor not only means you've improved a shitload, but means that you have taken down serious veterans of tank warfare. Well done guys. From the infantry side, we did really well in terms of skill and gunplay - quite a few double/triple takedowns from all of us which is really good to see against a professional side. I think our only sticking point was from a reaction and counter-reaction point of view. This comes from playing lots of competitive play on multiple flags and we'll get it soon enough.

Will make a plan to try upload these ASAP, but I am going away for most of the week and my OS reinstall means b/width is a mission. I recorded both rounds and seem to have sorted out my Youtube blunder (oops)...

I don't want us to get to over confident but I would echo the above statements, honestly if we had played in this format (squad structure) from the begining, I beleive we could have actually taken the second round from FiB. It was just that 1 or 2 mistakes and they got us pinned. I think the first 5-10 minutes of the game we had as many or more flags as them.

Now for the SSG game, they would also have improved over the leg so we must not assume that because we were close at the begining and now that we have improved we will win. Also it seems like Phatso can't make the game and a lot of people are away this week so we might not get in the pracs we want.

First things first is for Tyger to see if he can eliminate maps now and not before the game, which means we need to decided on a MAP. MY preference would be Sienne or Grand Bazaar, I beleive those are our strongest against this team

From my side.

this was the most fun I have had playing FIB ever!

From my point of view I was not the only one.

We kept our cool a lot better than in previous games, I also have to say that the spirit with which FIB approached us in this game did also help.

We need to get a lot of clan matches going before leg 2 and also above all need a consistent team. if we get those I think we are on the right track.

Special thanks MUST go to the geeks for lending us their Mumble channel. It seems DiData changed a huge switch at the hosted building and the tech stood on the fibre cable that brings in the 100Mb connection, actually snapped the fibre module in half...busy getting replacements...Mumble should be back up tonight....we need to give the geeks a big thanks on their site!

What they should thank us, they should be honoured that we used something of theirs, it is the closest they will ever come to greatness
