Ja, my bad guys - I can only apologies, I really shouldn't be captaining the side right now (or even last leg of the league) I'm just too overloaded with work as well as family and duties at home etc etc etc +1billion
If there IS someone up to the challenge and has the time, PLEASE step forward, as it stands, all I'm capably of doing right now is finding a few minutes here and there to send the emails to make sure the games happen. Even then I'm struggling.
But ja, I totally dropped it on this one, I thought we'd be playing a different Map - so I came up with strats for that one and coz of it, we were totally unprepared.
Having said that though, we should be able to adapt as a team to any situation, you should all know your best kits and how you can best serve the team.
I'd love to have more time to do the strats and the squad selection and planning, but TBH I just can't, I really want to, but don't have time @ the moment.
anyway, I've got to get back to work - please accept my apologies.

Re: PRACTICE VS [HF] Tuesday or Wednesday
Lee, I think you are a little bit harsh with yourself, running the team is not an easy thing and also a very ungrateful thing.
If I can make a suggestion, you need to delegate some of the tasks. The role of a team manager is to MANAGE, not DO!
Herewith my suggestions:
1. Assign somebody to prepare strategies for specific maps. I am prepare to put up my hand up for that task. I’ve worked out most strategies for most of the maps and they are reasonably ok. The only map I am really battling to come up with a good strategy is the one we've just played.
2. Assign a match co-ordinator. His job is to ensure that he communicates all the times and details regarding training / matches / etc
2. Assign two squad leaders. (You could be one yourself) Those two squad leaders are responsible for their squad selection. As such, make sure that the elected squad leaders are available for each and every game. Squadies should not put up their hands if they will only be available half the time etc.
3. The individual squad leaders should ensure that their squads gel as well as they can, and if a specific player doesn’t gel with a specific squad, it is the squad leader’s call to change the person around. It is a crap job, but somebody have to do it.
4. The two squad leaders need to lead their individual squads, and ensure that their individual squads are trained on exactly what the strategy requires of them on a specific map. If the squad can not do what the strategy suggest, then it is up to the squad leader to ensure that either the squad get efficient at it or that the squad members are changed for that specific map. This is nothing about the individuals ability or anything, but some people just prefer armor versus infantry.
5. Lastly, the squad leader should ensure that his/her squad practise together.
In my view, the team manager's role is just to ensure the games happen when they happen and to fire the squad leaders when they don't do what they should. It is NOT to micro-manage the 16 individuals.

Yeah lee, as skoups said, your being too harsh on yourself. We all need to step up and do something to make us perform better.

Re: PRACTICE VS [HF] Tuesday or Wednesday
Yip i agree with all of the above - if we want to make this team work, everyone needs to step up. Assigning squad leaders is a great first start, this would shift a lot of the work load down to more people. Squad leaders can then look at delegating as well. So if we need someone to look at old strats and polish them with new knowledge then it can be anyone who has the time. This way Lee also gets to enjoy his position as team leader.
How nice it is to have such mature guys on a team (well except for Paul), when murgs posted his reply... i thought OMFG now the flying pigs are going to the toilet and everyone is under their flight path. But everyone immediately started looking at finding solutions.... well done guys!!!! makes me proud, sniff sniff
