Damn, didn't realise that the Final was on the same day as XXXL. I too am going to need to see it.

On the bright side, the last time I watched a footie match with Lee, was in May 2008 in Durban. ON the Occasion, Man U stuffed Chelsea on penalties to win their last UCL trophy. A good omen for this year's final, methinks...

Something interesting, my Sister-In-Law will be having her Baby-shower on the Saturday - not that I'm going there, the interesting thing is, that her Husband is organizing flights fer Meg and Tristan to Capetown so that they can be there for the same weekend.

Would be cool for y'all to briefly meet the wife n kids, coz they're awesome. (makes sense, since they're Logan's)

No, no, no. Either this XXXL weekend is all for the clan doing stuff and we not worrying about other stuff, or else I too am going to duck out of clan stuff to go to other stuff I would like to attend on saturday.

This isn't exactly a suggestion that we split up and do different things. Nomad simply requested that we go somewhere on the Saturday night where the football will be shown. I tend to concur with this suggestion. Of course, if everyone else doesn't want the people that are interested to be able to see the football, then the vote will carry it.

And Murgs, if there's stuff that you'd rather be doing than hanging out with your clan mates on the Saturday, then you should do it. The purpose of this get together is for us to hang out because we want to, not because we feel obliged to.

At the end of the day, this is not an 'official' clan gathering (like rAge is). This is a celebration of three of our 40th birthdays that happen to coincide with each other. We all want to celebrate this milestone with our clan mates because they are more than friends, they are our online family. It's an honour for me that so many people are coming down to Cape Town (and for those in Cape Town already, opening up their houses) for the occasion of my 40th birthday.

Anyway, enough grandstanding. I just wanted to let you all know that I appreciate everyone coming down for this, and of course we need to do stuff that everyone will enjoy. Even if that means I miss the biggest football game of the year...

Sexpo isn't til July or so, and we all know that's the only reason you leave home.
