TBH, I didnt even know there was a practice. . . not sure why, though. . . I was busy working on the portal thing - work - RL - still I dont' know how I missed it, since I spend most of my time on this site. I thought Wednesdays were our designated practice days? Sheesh, am I losing touch here? seems like it.

I think that it wasn't clear when the practice was. Certainly Hubris' original post does mention practice on Tuesday, but it is a fair way down within a sizable post. Not saying that people shouldn't have known, but we could certainly make it easier by making practice times/dates a lot more prominent when posted.

Hopefully these teething problems will clear up once we have a dedicated weekly evening for practices that everyone can commit to. Setting up ad-hoc practices is not the way to go IMO, we need to determine now what practice days are, for every week.

I agree, this ad hoc prac is because we are playing on Sunday. I would suggest pracs are on Thursdays as the matches are usually on Sunday, so we have monday-wednesday to come up with strats, then prac on Thursday, match on Sunday

That may be fine, but will preclude me from pretty much all practices, as I fly back from JHB on Thursday evenings.

Then again, I did put myself forward as a reserve for the team, so I assume it's not crucial if I can't make pracs.

Sorry forgot about that. I have a feeling no matter what day we choose some one will have a problem. That is why there is a captain. HE decides and that is final.

Can we please make a thread specifically for scheduling pracs. One that is updated weekly by the team captain so that we know exactly where and when we are expected to be each week.

Also, can we please schedule pracs for 8.30 rather than 8 as work is hectic atm. If this is inconvenient for the rest of the team, I totally understand and will do my best to work a solution on prac nights.

Apologies for not attending last night - I was unaware of prac and also only finished work at about 9pm.

I've got nothing to add at point in time. The plan looks great to me.

And just to make things clear, I did say that during the week it will be quite difficult for me to attend practices, at least until next year.
With that being said though, I will be available for Thursdays prac.

Thanks for the feedback guys, it's great to hear you're on board. We already have a scheduling thread and I'll update it and my strats post tonight when I get a chance to use a real keyboard. :P J0nny, 8:30 shouldn't be a problem.

Teething problems are painful, but I think we are making good progress and I fully appreciate the effort and emotion invested by all towards making the various changes a success. If no one cared I'd be much more concerned.

If I recall correctly, the two most popular nights for practices were Tuesday and Wednesday. I suggest we host the routine practice on a Tuesday each week. When it comes to match practice, I reckon Wednesdays.

This practice is a little different since it is still the first real practice and scheduling has been a real ball ache. So for that reason and others already mentioned, let's keep it on Thursday (this time). It's a pity we'll miss you Jarrod, but it shouldn't continue.

Tuesdays = Routine Prac:Going through Strats etc
Wednesdays = Match Practise : I assume a full match

Pracs will start at 8:30 assume there is a prac each week unless advised there isn't. It would be better if you arrive for a prac and end up playing on the FFA because it is cancelled than for us to get in half hearted pracs.
