New build
Re: New build
Posted the prices I saw in my post above, obviously the 5870 has dropped a lot. At the prices you list neither stands out, you'll get what you pay for.

Re: New build
Speaking of ITX - I'm building an ATOM machine for very low powered always-on downloading @ home.
Also Scan and print server.
Might as well make it a proxy server too! Who knows perhaps the DHCP Server... the uses are ENDLESS!
This is my build
1 x Coolermaster RC-100-KKP3 Elite 100 with Vesa mounting kit , Flex ATX 150W psu , compact size ( 96x22x32cm ) , 0.8mm cold-rolled
1 x intel 510Mo Mount Olive , Retail pack , all-in-one , Integrated Intel Atom D510 cpu - dual-core with hyper threading , 4-threads
1 x Kingston DDR2-800 2GB CL5 Memory Module
1 x Seagate 500GB Momentus 7200.4 SATA300 16MB 7200RPM Mobile Hard Drive
CoolerMaster ELITE 100 intel 510Mo Mount Olive D510 DualProc
2Gb Kingston DDR2-800 Seagate Momentus 7200 RPM 500Gb 2.5" HDD
Also Scan and print server.

Re: New build
Oh and the Atom build under LOAD (stressing the machine) will use 22Watts
General Usage - should sit round about 16-18 Watts.
Very cool lirrel thing - plus - I'll be sticking it on the back of my TV with the VESA mount - so it's "invisible"
and no - it's not a media center - I've got that connected to my TV already -
This is just a Download/PrintServer box.

Re: New build
I will post a review once the build is done.
I will be getting most of the parts except for the mainboard today.... Unfortunately the board is out of stock at the moment and I will be waiting a week for the board.....
