He was on Mumble last night. Seemed quiet or in shellshock.

I believe this to be very true. He didn't make a sound, tried to communicate yo! Not to sound like dick, but as far as I know grrr isn't a open clan which means we don't just recruit every and anyone that applies. They MUST fit in the nuthouse..

we'll give another chance - our spirited bunch can be quite daunting to some, so don't write him off yet. Give em some time - he may (or may not) surprise us.

Have to agree with Russ here, when he eventually got on...I couldn't hear him and kept asking if he was there. To be fair as Duckles said we are a rowdy bunch and it could be daunting but then on the other hand those answers and comments he gave dont lfit in with his "confidence" levels off the bat....anyway, I am happy to give him another crack at it tonight before making up my mind too.

Yeah, even Miles (BadRobot) was very quiet the first time he was on Mumble with us - often people like to sus things out to see how/if they can fit it. Even uber confident people sometimes don't know how to place themselves in a new outfit, so lets see how this dude goes.

There is also the option that our normal craziness didn't give him the opportunity to talk.. however, now that he has experienced the craziness, it will be easier from here on.

I liked that he made the effort to try get his Mumble to work and stuck around for quite a while. Maybe we need a few more quiet ones to balance out the crazies
