Wired all the way. (and don't buy into anything that says 1000hz response rate etc.... it's a load of poo-poo, it's actually detramental to you CPU performance(interrupt poling), but that's another story)

Basically you should go to a PC Store if you have one near by and test out some of them there meeses, get an idea of which shape of mouse works best for you - I'm a palm grip, my palm rests on my mouse with my First two fingers going contour-style over the mouse buttons(not raised and claw gripped)with my remaining two fingers gripping the side of the mouse. Thumb is countergrip

For me the best mouse ended up being the Logitech G500 as this fits my hands and grip to perfection - ie. you really REALLY have to figure out which mouse works best for [s]you[/s] your hand -

*95% of the gamer-grade mice out there have the same features/buttons etc. so it's GRIP not Brand-name.

RussianElite. wrote:Affordable wired option that is a absolute King of a mouse is the Logitech MX518 or I think its nenamed to 300 something. Chronos got him one at Rage and I'm sure hell give you positive feedback about it.

P.S I got one and it rocks, I think they go for R299 or R350.

For once I'll have to go with Russian on this one, Logitech G400 rocks, most comfy mouse for me!!

Yeah I have been through Logitech and Razer mice. Purely down to preference. I guess you haven't been to any lans recently if you are just getting back into pc gaming but whenever I am at rage or visiting other gamers I get my grubby paw prints on their mice and give them a test.
Hard to test in shops in SA.

Yeah, still using muh Razer Diamondback. Had it for 6 or 7 years now.

LevelCap has a good commentary on mouses here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsueZmDHcjs (focuses mainly on the Razer DeathAdder but also gives info on Logitech stuffs).

xFactor has a cool series of YouTube clips on mouse settings:

On a side note, both these guys have really good BattleField channels on YouTube - totally worth subscribing and watching all their tips and tricks videos. I prefer LevelCap's stuff, but both are extremely helpful.
