We need to define our value proposition, sponsorship options and be clear on our funding/sponsorship requirements. I think we need to start at the end and put together our needs, then what we offer then what options there are. We need to resolve our membership and subs issue first, then that can lead to a budget of sorts and ultimately a decision on how much or what we need. Only then can sponsorship be thought about, otherwise we are just taking a thumb suck to sponsors and we might end up dissatisfied or they will.
Jarrod and I discussed the membership thing a bit at rAge but we didn't get very far - I blame the electric spinach.we have he fundamentals in place and even a way to see who funds how much in the clan. But it's clear some people contribute a hell f a lot and others contribute very little - for various reasons. We need a common standard for our memberships, grades attached to different subs fees. Problem is we have to make allowance for low subs, long time members and ghost members.
If we can float some ideas around that membership scheme it would be a great start, the exact figures need not be calculated just yet but we need a viable system to then design our budget around, test going concern and sponsorship needs. Once all the variables are in place we can fiddle with the numbers and get a set of systems that are viable for the member, the clan and the sponsor.
