I just remember something on the line that Anti dote was banned. Some of the FiB guys later discovered Ant to be the older brother of Anti and banned him aswell due to association. It was reversed due to no proof.. Superant has got alot of hours of BF3 under his name with no one even remembering him, not that is to look over the fact that you think he's a possible cheater. I would rather this thread and the questions asked about him kept secret from him, coz he'd just leave the whole thing coz he'd think it's too much of a hassle.

Ja, look, we can't be 100% sure ever, and from what I've heard from the BOC associates, Ant sounds like a cool guy, def not someone I would want to chase away with background checks. I will have a chat to Eggy in the next few days and listen to what he has to say since he was a BF2 admin. If he vouches for the BOC guys, that is good enough for me. (Not saying I don't trust you, Phats or Rusky, just saying that Eggy obv knows the guys and the PB ban lists etc).

Given that the players will be ~50% external, I would recommend them playing under different tags. [BnG] or similar. I'm not comfortable with external players using the clan tags in competitions. We have made the odd exception when our main team/s has been short of players but I think this is a different case.
My votes; yes we try to get a 2nd merc team together (if there is enough interest), not under [grrr] tags though.
Long term it would be nice if the BF okes from BOC applied to join [grrr]. Maybe this combined team will be a stepping stone to that.

I don't know the BOC guys at all, but they seem like good players and good okes. Could this be the offer we've been waiting for?? Moaaaaaaaar BF3 players!!!
Making a casual team to get guys having fun again is an awesome idea, so as far as possible we should make that happen. But yes, whenever forming a team there should always be caution if only for commitment and team planning... Playing under the [grrr] tags would be a perfect way to ensure life for the team and lure some guys into the fold (hooked on some of the grrr loving)!
So... Let's tell the BOC guys we're interested and get them involved in a big practice soon and we see how we go on the field of battle. Maybe next Wednesday? It's a good way to see if the team will work and will give us all time and experience to see whether its [grrr] tags or [xxx] tags. Keep this comm chatter too ledgit to quit, do our homework and then give feedback to the BOC chaps in good time.

OK, I had a chat with Eggpant last night, and he cleared things up wrt SuperAnt. Short version: Antidote got the banhammer, he was SuperAnts' bro, they stayed together and shared pc's, hence SuperAnt's nick got linked to the key ban. BOC still claim FiB set Antidote up.
I asked him if there was any interest from the BOC guys in joining [grrr] and he said he doubted it, but that he had no problem with it, should any of them decide to do so.
I also suggested that we approach BBH since I reckon they have a player or two that would be keen to play in the mix. I highly recommend we get the full 12 players for a casual team to ensure that we get at least 8 players for a match every week. Any less than the full contingent and you end up with 5 ppl at a practice and 6 who pitch for matches regularly = it becomes a disappointment for the keen players, a pain in the arse for the team captain, and the team dissipates.
Eggy was emphatic that he wants NOTHING to do with organising anything in the team - from what I picked up, a large part of why BOC doesn't compete anymore is because he got frustrated with the admin side of competitive gaming, struggling to get teams to matches/pracs etc. Hence we will need a [grrr] player or two to volunteer for the job of team manager/captain; someone with enough time to organise pracs and matches, hand in results, peel the oranges for half time, blah blah blah.
We can start with a list of grrr players keen to jol in the mix, add 4 BOCs, approach BBH if we ned numbers, and then take things from there.
EDIT: I've told Eggy we prac on Tues and Wed so he must bring the keen okes to play next week if poss. Also told him that he's welcome to bring any of the guys into mumble for pub stomping/shit talking/Paul dissing/whatever.
