Re: Introducing myself
For now I am enjoying watching all the questions being thrown at you, Mr P and reading your answers. But I might pounce on you later and toss a question or 2 your way.

Re: Introducing myself
Ok, Dragonne's question
1. Name the three previous grrr clan leaders ran our loveable bunch of misfits before 'The year of the Dragonne'.
Ah, an easy one first. Well, a simple cut and paste can answer this:
Founders: Megageth, s3xy_j0nny & Leelo (they are like demi-gods to the clan; much like MC Hammer, you can't touch them smiley80)
2. s3xy_j0nny and Paul - Which of these is an oxymoron, and which is a regular moron?
This is a trick question am I right? Both are the latter correct?
3. Who is ‘the naughty nursey’, and what food type is her speciality?
Oooh, now I have to start guessing a little. Well... there are two women in Grrr that I know of, from the sound of their voices on ts. Nightshade and Onyx. I would have to guess Nightshade, as each time I killed her last night, she was playing medic. And I'd have to guess her food is a medic bag?
4. Who is the clan's resident Sep? And what is the derivation of the word Sep?
Will have to answer this later, after I've managed to bribe or blackmail someone into at least giving me a clue.
5. What is the grrr clan initiated ‘S&M squad’, and what does it do?
Same as above. Sheesh the difficulty level of your questions is steep.
Some personal questions now:
6. WTF is a pmurg, and why are you named for two of them? While we’re at it, what’s your real name?
pmurgs is short for Peter Murgatroyd, my name. When I started playing BF2 online, I decided to play as myself, instead of as someone else with a name like "elitek1ll3r" or "badboykillyou". At least pmurgs is unique to me on the internet (so far).
7. Whereabouts in the mother city do you live?
Now don't get jealous... I live in Fish Hoek, up on the mountain side, right above the beach. Best spot in Cape Town really. Ok, it's a little windy, but still, can't beat the beach at Fish Hoek. Thats if you have the guts to swim with the sharks around.
8. Do you rAge?
If it was a little closer, I would. Course I'd have a hard time putting up with all the vaalies, but one has to make sacrifices sometimes in life.
9. Married? Family? Gay? Eunuch?
Ah now, you didn't pay careful attention to my introduction post. Shame on you. I answered the first two there. For the latter two, no and no.
10. What do you do when you’re not gaming?
Well, until a few years ago, I used to work as a software developer, for companies like the Foschini Group, Vodacom, Sanlam and a UK company. Last few years I've been slumming it, living cheaply while making a small income trading on the JSE. I tend to spend quite a few hours each day keeping up with politics, economics and the financial news.
11. So how many cats do you have?
Well, normally I'd be glad to answer this question and tell you all about the three cats that have permitted me to keep them company and feed them, but three months ago my closest feline companion passed away and I'm still in mourning.

Re: Introducing myself
Ah ha! Thank you Dragonne for accidentely spilling the beans over ts and letting me know what Sep is for and why it rhymes with yank. I could of guessed who it was, since she's from Chicago if I'm not mistaken, but you spilled the beans there too.

Re: Introducing myself
LOL sneaky, sneaky! Staying all quiet on TS trying to learn the ways of the force

Re: Introducing myself
Ok, FlyCatchrs questions
1. what is a hairy blender?
Well, it's not a tea bag, thats rather obvious
other than that, I guess I'm going to have to be even more sneaky to find out what the answer is.
2. when, what, how, why and who are you ??? (you can answer some of these in conjunction with Drag's questions)
It think I answered this with Drag's questions. If you want futhur clarification, just ask.
3. why do you prefer supply over medic? (other than the obvous tube)
I guess I enjoy the fact that with the toob, I can rearrange the tactical environment by blowing up walls and so on. This is probably the biggest selling point of BFBC2 over BF2.
I tried out the medic in Beta, but the guns sucked (no m60 in beta) so I found I definitely prefered the assault XM8 and having the toob as well, along with being able to replenish my own nades and toobs, definite win. I guess this was mainly because without voip, few squads that dont have their own ts, actually work like squads, so being a medic is not as usefull, as it is when you are there with your squad, and able to revive them to keep the squad moving forward. When everyone is just doing their own thing, medics are not that usefull. The 15 second respawn timer, is not that bad a penalty, when you can pick where to respawn to some extent and get full ammo again, with your gun fully loaded.
Since all classes now heal somewhat, if you take a breather from the action, it's also not so important to be a medic and carry round a health bag with you, as it was in BF2.
In BF2 I used to prefer the medic over the assault class by far, but then, you did have the bonus if you got revived, you didn't loose a death. Also the medic guns in BF2 were not as bad as most of the BC2 medic guns.
So, I guess overall, without voip, it is somewhat of an everyman for himself style play on the servers, since you can't discuss with your squad, how to attack or defend, and it seems to me, the assault class is a better solo class than the medic. I play Rush mode a lot, and the assault class definitely works better to getting to the mcoms when your on your own than being a medic.
But I'm not stuck to the assault class. I plan to take time to play the medic and engineer, it's just I'm in no rush to switch. Not sure I'll ever really want to play the recon class. Being a sniper doesn't really appeal to me much.

Re: Introducing myself
Nice information mister Murgs.
Its always nice to know the man behind the keyboard.
So nog a kaapie ne? I think I should get it over and done with and move down already
My questions
1. What does PHAT mean? And does it bear a reflection of how I look?
2. Hottest celebrity?
3. Would you hit that? (Answer must be in the form of "i'd hit that so hard...")
4. Favorite music genre and artists?
5. How should we pronounce your nick (preferentially) "pee-mergs"; "mergs" "peet". Respond in phonetics please.

Re: Introducing myself
So here are my questions:
1. What did you want to be while you were growing up?
2. Have you ever had an embarrassing moment? If yes, what was it?
3. Which do you prefer: choc chip cookies or a melted cheese sarmie.
