sweet, thanks qb!

we've had some issues with the commander mode. its seems all the slots are being taken over by players.
in the server configuration we can change the player limit, the effective player limit and spectator, nothing for commander.
what i think we should do is lower the effective player limit to 40. thus leaving two open spots for commander. but i'm not entirely sure if that will fix the problem.

qb, phats, egg what do you think?

I dont bother queuing for our server any more. I dont have premium so I got bounced it the past. Then when I did join the server crashed.

I got kicked from another clan's server today with the polite message "Sorry making space for a member."
I joined another server, end of story.

I still disagree with the decision to keep members off our server for the sake of our reputation.
Strongly.
Its a clan server and I feel like it should be a clan decision.

I'm with Geth on this. I have limited BF play time, and I end up checking out the grrr server, seeing a queue of 8 people, and then logging off again because I haven't the time to wait. And I don't belong to a clan so that I can spend all of my time playing on my own with randoms.

These are compelling arguments... I see more Grrr players playing on other servers than the Grrr server.

I honestly don't see the point of naming it the Grrr server, when it is not really a Grrr player based server.

Let look at the bright side, the server is popular enough that it is constantly full but yes I have noticed what has been mentioned above.

I think we should allow players to be kicked to make space for a grrr member with a polite message "Making space for Grrr Members, please come back when there is space"

Dry... looks like hubris changed it to 42 player slots which means there is no space for commander.
It does need to be changed to 40 for commander to work.

We can put a message in the intro/loading screen to buffer the disappointment like "You may get kicked for members, please come back later if you do."
Something similar for the admin kick reason.

i don't think hubris has access to procon. and for some reason i can't change the effective player limit. (its greyed out) don't think i have full admin rights. so either you or phats has to change it.

oh and those plugins, do i just extract them in the /plugins/bf4 folder?

I do have Procon.... the issue is that the server is 44 slots. 2 slots are spectators. The effective player limit is 42, not 40 as it should be to allow commanders. I've gone back onto the Gamerservers config and checked that's all ok - it is. The PROCON effective player limit is still wrong and is the problem here. How we change it I have no idea.

--EDIT-- I just changed the player limit in PROCON to 40 which changed the effective player limit. Testing it now.

No Hubris the effective player limit is 40.
Then 2 slots allocated to commanders, and 2 slots allocated to spectator.

The allocated commander slots do not fall under the player slots.
