Sounds like an awesome idea duck, I might just bring my PC along then. Maybe look at a easy strategy game like Command and Conquer 3 as a second game to have a litte variance. I know we need to settle on a game and not have too many, otherwise it's doesnt wek.

Damn, I haven't played Enemy Territory since it first came out. It's a good game, but requires fairly sizeable teams for a good game, typically 8v8 is a good start.

Any support for a internal comp this year? The UT comp that we had 3 years ago was good fun I thought. We could rustle up some prizes again. If so it would need to be an individual game again, rather than a team based option.

Any suggestions for a game that we could use (something that everyone has, or is F2P?). I could get LAN copies of COD4 for everyone that doesn't have it? Or maybe Quake 3, or Counterstrike (I assume that everyone has a copy of CS:Source?)

I'm not sure whether or not I'll be bringing my PC up for rAge, depends if we're going to be doing anything special. I'm going to try and wangle a work trip up there in the preceding week, so as to avoid the flight cost, means that I'd need to have Denis bring up my PC if I'm going to jam.

I guess it would be good to know who is keen to game at rAge this year, an who would rather just hang out, watch the comp etc?

So i've sent through the design ducky made, stating that we want ~15x15cm print out on the back. this is just for them to get an idea of what we want, so they can give us a price. I just want to know what else you guys want? are we going to have names printed as well? or just a rage 2013 text?

not sure, I'll do a GRRR4ge 2013 logo a little later and upload it.

For Gaming side again: What about revisit to Left4Dead 2 - I see there are a bunch of 8 PLAYER maps - OMG HUGE.
In fact there is so much L4D2 content now, that I'm going to be re-installing - so much to see.......

We could structure a last man standing type comp, but I suppose all depends on who has L4D2

...just more thoughts

(JUST LOOK AT THIS INTERESTING ONE: http://www.l4dmaps.com/details.php?file=10698 )

Question:

FOr those of use that are going to (try) buy rAge tickets, do we have to create a profile on on the website before hand

http://itickets.co.za/events/311723

or can we just open it up on the day and buy, I have never used this website before. I have created an account though just incase

yeah, I created an account as soon as I saw the first article on mygaming about the move from computicket.

What I really don't like is the unprofessional and completely UN-South African the site is. It seems to be a USA ticketing website...so it's got me the "this aint gonna end well" feeling.

Good call Paul, it's worth setting up an account in advance. If the usual rush for tickets happens this year, you don't want to have to spend 15 minutes setting up a profile before you can buy.
