Well played tonight guys!

I'm busy uploading my recordings now.
Can someone please create a pinned thread where we can all post our recordings. Just to make it easier for everyone to have a look.
I could probably do it, but I'm lazy. :D

Yeah, was a great game last night, the two rounds I was in. I even managed to kill the enemy apc three times I think with rpgs. And then there was time our apc and theirs died and I managed to kill the two guys who tried to flank our apc, leaving me alone in the middle of the street with two flaming apc's not sure what to do (no one left to shoot). And then theres the time Leppy drove his APC right on top of their apc in their back flag street, with Paul and I repairing our APC with their apc right on the otherside of ours, as we circle our APC as their apc tried to get around leppy to shoot us. Great rounds :)

On thing, can we be more specific which tow we are talking about, so I don't end up running the wrong way compared to our APC, heh heh.

And Tyger.... voice comms... you know what I mean...

I will also upload some vids, need to compress them first, FRAPS made 12 x 4GB files per round

Match Summary (Metro only because that is what we need to focus on)

Round 1 (as US)
=======
Near as damn perfect as you can get. Our initial strats worked well, a key point was Tyger noticing a gap and telling everyone to move up. We need to make sure we capitalise on moments where they lose 3 or 4 guys quickly. Once we were in defence mode there was no stoping us.

Round 2 (as RU)
=========
Not quite as good as the first round but I still think we would have won if the server didn't "crash". The problem was that I was covering Locker rooms and they sent in 3 guys (or 2). I managed to kill them but they were revived, I ran out of bullets and they steam rolled me. From there they had a foot hold and could out cap us from there.

I think we need some back up at Lockers, this will be used by most clans as there is protection in locker rooms. We also need to assign only 2 people to clear out our back flag if there is a sniper hanging around. It took too long last night and delayed our capture of B

All in all a good practise that sets us up nicely for Sunday, I am not pretty confident we can beat ESW/\T

Hope thats a typo.

Guys, last nights shining moments were the brightest we've had I feel. Round 1 on both maps were unreal. We gelled like a fucking machine and pomped RFH for it. I know they must be shaking a bit because we returned the favour of drilling them from our first run in.

The communication of "orange/curved/block/atms/easy/hubbly" ... OMG, it sounds professional and works like a charm! Lets keep it up. Another thing I noticed that although our first push on Metro Round 1 didn't work, we regrouped, did the same thing and it worked. This was a game changer for us.

Tyger, excellent calling on the "PUSH NOW! PUSH NOW!". This is something I have no idea why I have never discovered before in competitive gaming, but it seems extremely effective in BF3. If you get the majority of the enemy down in an area, you can steamroll the leftovers easy. Lets keep this up.

Sorry for losing my cool multiple times last night.. I recall Dryman saying "calm down" quite a few times.

Now to start recording games too.. That first round on Bazaar was pure magic from everyone and one I wish I could've gotten from my POV.

Hooah guys, keep it up, keep sharp and lets go drill these guys.

LOL yes it is a typo, I meant I AM NOW CONFIDENT.

The reason why the second push worked was because of epic revivals. For my squad Dry, Hubris and Myself got up to B block. I died 4 times (I think) trying to hold it and once we had B secured I checked the score board and I only had 1 death recorded, this was because of all the revivals going on.

Having said that, I can personally improve on the revives, 2 or 3 times I died while reviving some one because I didn't check first. Also (I think this is the 3rd time I mentioned it) it is HUGELY IMPORTANT to call for a revive. The standard repsonse should be

I am done at XYX
PLAYERNAME please revive me I am behind you/too your left/etc

That way everyone knows you are down but just as important the medic knows he needs to revive you.

This!. Ok so i did not really cover a good strat for RU on Metro but at the very least you guys now understand how imporant that flank with locker rooms is.

Not sure what squad make up you used but here goes for RU.

When playing RU it is imporant to keep the US out of locker and keep them off the back of B flag. This can be a very hard thing to do considering how exposed the area around stairs. First point is to leave a squad of 3 on back escalators, primamry role for this squad is to stop US coming up the short escalators but also more importantly, if the squad in lockers falls they need to block the US from getting out of lockers and into ATM room.

Lockers needs a 3 man squad to hold it, they need to get agressive and try and get kills from locker area onto back B (escalators) and down into strairs.

The final 2 man squad needs to be on the right hand side of the B flag area (RU right side). The need to focus on getting the US off the back of B flag and stopping them from moving up the RU right flank. This is quite a hard job and these two need to be good lone wolf/rambo style players, need to get grenades on the US and move round the corner and get shots on the RU who are typically focused on lockers battles.

If the two man right flank squad die the US still need to get past the 3 man squad at Short escalators.

The real game winners are the 3 man squad who hold back, they need to repsond to either lockers or the right flank falling. As a squad never commint the whole team to lockers or the right flank and only go down escalators to flank the US with one player. Allways leave two behind, as RU you do not want to let and US get up the back escalators and they will try.

So

A Squad x 3 Assualt hold lockers
B Squad x 2 Assault 1 x support hold back escalator
C Squad x 2 Assault hold right RU right flank

I suggest you go with 3 x M320 (one in each squad) and spam the stairs and escalators, it is very hard for US to get past good M320 spam, I know it sucks as a tactic but is does work.

We had 2 x 4 man squad, the reason for this was so all the perks could be taken advantage of as we didn't need to utilise the SL spawn. We did however had roughly the structure you said except it was only 1 person in Locker rooms

perks are a good reason to have 4 in a squad. It's just areas that count.

Well things did not go according to plan. I have tried to think what the reason was and I can't think of anything except that they out played us.

I thought we showed good character coming back in the first round but then got complacent and they took it back. I think Dry might be right, we were to cocky before of our practise with RFH, we thought we just had to show up to win
