Thinking of making a good looking front page, with links to our forum

Trying out some things,

This is just the sample page, nothing yet done on it.

Won't necessarily integrate it with the forum, rather just have a link.
We can setup some alternate login accounts if people want to BLOG on it n wot not.

Just a slightly nicer landing screen for when going to http://www.grrr.co.za instead of going straight to the forums.

You can login to the system to check out things if you like:

Take some getting used to, every decent Content system has it's quirks, I just like this one, since it's easier to design the way I want it to look.

Lee, one suggestion...

Currently with the structure of the front page, we can see the shoutbox and the most recent posted threads from the forum. I would like to have direct links to the clan related forum boards on the front page too, in order to encourage people to review the clan related topics on a regular basis. Is this possible?

it's also something I'd like - but it's tough, that requires a form of integration and I'm trying to figure out the coding....really really tough - but I'm working on it and will see. . .

getting better n better.. . . really struggling to get the shoutbox working - it's tricky since I can only add a PHP or a Javascript or an HTML BLOCK on a page, not really a mixture of them .... It's technical, but I suppose i can trick it with an include type page.... *sigh..... wish someone else knew PHP Java n all that - it's quite a challenge.

Managed to finally get the shoutbox on the page, but it does double spacing for the shouts, I've tried everything to get rid of that - to no avail - but, it's there and working. You can't actually SHOUT there, but it at least displays the shouts
