Vacuum sealed base ftw
Then we need a simple entrance on land... and a tunnel out to our deep sea base :)

When I logged in this morning, I got a message to say one of our cats had been killed by an Argentavis.
It's about eating pussy, Joohandray, I wouldn't expect you to understand.
Which one??
They were both level 8, so could easily have been chomped.
Saberpoof is still alive
Woop... my saber survived! :)
(Yes Golli... MINE!) :D
I propose we investigate an underwater cave for some base building:

AH! same one Mega n I said would make a good base!

Golli found one... which we could use to tame a plethiosaur (spelling)
You will all be sad to hear that last night, Fly Guy was killed in an incident involving a mutant dragonfly attack. As such, I have relocated Gatorade to my current activity spot in the hopes that he will destroy any hostile creatures intent on harming our pets.
pets aren't forever, that's reserved for grudges.
That guy wasn't that fly.
Where is this secret location that you have snuck off to?
I will put up a plaque in the memorial for Fly Guy. Red is still MIA, presumed eaten. I will make a plaque for him in the next few days.
In other news:
I have made a transponder tracker thats now in the safe. If you make transponder nodes and fit them to dinos, they can be tracked.
Please keep a close guard on the tracker and leave it in the safe whenever possible. The nodes are linked to the specific tracker and if that goes missing we have to make all again at great resource/time expense.
Dont forget the amazing sproket
Have we found some Asian people to work in our electronics factory yet?
Tigers are Asian. I hope you have small fingers and a serious rice craving. You can sleep on the floor, your shifts are 04:00 to 23:00, Mon-Sun.
If working in the sweat shop gives XP, i'll do it.
Seriously though chaps, i have fallen behind the curve a bit due to me going away and have lost a bit of motivation to play to be honest.
Besides taking a TRex and left clicking all of the things, what else can I do?
There is no need or desire to tame.
Our base has defense en masse.
We have reached the end of the crafting tree nearly. I mean we have space suits and generators / grills etc. What else?
Enlighten me leetpanty guys.
Phats... the good news is that they've pumped up the XP level.. so you will gain levels quickly.
There are some daily chores that you can look into:
- Feeding the dinos
- leveling up the dinos
- Improving our defences... we still need spikes around the outer wall
Then you can always find an awesome location and set up a holiday home for the tribe.
Cave busting is where its at - need to get all the artifacts so that we can go murder the broodmother (uber spider)
Level up, get good armour and weapons, raid raid raid and once done with all artifacts - we go after the boss
Cave raids are yektic and a different spin on things -
Im pretty sure when you guys have levelled up to the max and have everything in place then you can wage war on another tribe? Seems like the next logical step
Rusky there are already some tribes stirring kak on paradise island. Only a question of time before we are raided.
We have had a couple of supply sites raided already. There is a trouble maker, or more than one, on the Island.
I have set up a holiday home for us on the beach directly south from our current base. IF I can work out security nicely, it might even be a more secure location for our base of operations. Phats, if you want to level doing something useful, you can always come help with the perimeter stuffs and machinery installations. I will grind mats and you can construct finished products.
Also, as Lee said, we are moving on to cave raids in the build up to fighting the brood mother. :machinegun:

Yup... but that only seems to be on the Official servers...
For example, the Spino was spotted on the official servers about 2 weeks before the server we were on got it
- The ape and others have been spotted, yet are not on our server yet.
Frankie does Ark part 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfeFfKwWcAQ
I don't know what the point is continuing...
i think you've missed a fundamental part of the game - with joining our tribe, we've progressed and are building amazing things as we are putting in the time to get materials.
casual joiners have no threat.
for the first 100 hours of the game, it was a struggle for all of us to simply stay alive.
Hectic dinos, harsh conditions, limited tools, low level items, the struggle is real, oh and no tamed dinos.....we could only tame dinos with stones and catapults and taming took 3 hours.
But joining the tribe means there is litterally no hardship, therefore nothing to appreciate about your progression and the game itself, the very thing that gave it it's appeal, trying to survive.
Sad really, coz its a morphing process, you survive and you finally reach a level where you no longer worry about survival and start planning the more difficult things, cave raids and the master plan to get all the artifacts and collectables needed to find the end-game-boss, the BroodMother (Spider)
Probably would have been better and more enjoyable to actually start on another server, not have a tribe and survive and learn the game till level 25 or so, get to appreciate the "what it takes" or what it took for us to get there.
Having a tribe that has built these massive structures and tamed many many beast results in everything being easy - and easy games are boring.
Yip kinda what i thought
Start again, spawn naked on the beach, eat berries and make yourself a shack. I only joined the tribe around lvl 25-30 when I had been eaten by carnos, raptors and dilos many times.
The survival aspect of the game is rewarding. The tech tree, raids and caves are great once you have levelled and are looking for a change of pace.
Pretty much the reason that I didn't get into the game, there was no sense of accomplishment when I joined the tribe. Had a look around at all of the structures, thought 'hmmm, they've done well here', and then quit out thinking that there wasn't a compelling reason to play.
Or maybe I've just got too involved in story led games of late, to the point that a completely open environment is just not doing it for me.
Ya i like story games atm too.
Today, I am taking my spear, crossbow, and a sarco saddle out on foot. I am big croc hunting with no dinos to back me up. The thrills can be found, my fellow grrrbians. Gonna be braaing piranha steaks on the beaches for a while :)
Those damn crocs are rare though... you gonna need to do a lot of hicking to find one.
Still a year before official release... sigh.
