and I can assist in the cracking if you would like! I think this could be related to a pirated version of Win7 all sorts of things happen! Black Screens random reboots/ forced shut-downs etc. I think my old M/B could be well suited for your PC will have to check the RAM Modules / Version

I am willing to luss my Media Centre PC to help a brother out if it turns out to be the MB...

Will let you know the specs...

It's possible, not sure what Microsoft "fiddle" with when you don't have a genuine copy....once backed up, try format and re-install from fresh...you have 30 days from fresh install to make it genuine...so for 30 days you can see if everything works.

Hey guys, i figured I would create a new topic so that we don't clog up the others.

Specs:

Core 2 Duo E6555 @ 2.33 GHZ

DDR 2 800

FSB 1333

I read this on the mobo:

Q35t - AM - V:1.0A
15 - V36 - 001010

And it is an Acer Motherboard.

It managed to stay on lastnight, which gave me some time to atleast copy my crucial info off my harddrive.

I am starting to wonder if it might be my operating system, coz it is a pirated windows 7 and i dont think i cracked it properly coz it has a genuine pop up warning. Do you think that that could cause the system to hang and USB ports to switch off?
