Yep, too overkill. Rather just buy a 750 or 750G from scoop: http://www.scoopdistribution.co.za/index.php?cPath=100_34

I also have a Media PC box which is not being used currently I could, and I as could guardedly install mikrotek and manage my own router, but honestly that would be complete overkill!

If the half bridged solution fails, I have a solution for you. Requires purchasing a R350 proper router, but it can have multiple internet connections and decide which one to use depending on where the traffic wants to go. It's what I used to send my BC2 traffic down the best isp depending on which BC2 server I'm connecting to.

Not without hassle (unless the leet dudes know more)..

Configure your uncapped account deets on your router and set up a "dial-in" account for your 1GB.
Leave as is for normal browsing.
Change your default gateway and dial-in using the 1GB when needed.

I THINK...

If you can set your router in half-bridged mode, you can save the uncapped account on the router and use the 1GB as a dial-up from your pc that you connect when you game.
I think.

Looks like you will need to flash it. Half-bridged on that router is called PPPoE relay.

Then try:

(May need to change the IP if you have reconfigured your network.)

So here's the thing.

I have a Uncapped Afrihost account and a 1GB capped account. I would like to setup my uncapped account as the primary DSL account. And then have the option to use the 1GB account when I want to game.

What would be the best way of going around this? I have a Netgear DGN 2000 Wireless router/Modem that runs through an my XP machine. My laptop connects wirelessly so not worried about the lappy right now just the gaming rig...

thanks intelligent ones...
