Post-match thoughts:
Firstly, I think we did MUCH better compared to our last experience with SSG. Hoo-aah, lads!

We lost that first round by 89 tickets. That is one helluva improvement on the past - losing a match by 200+ !!
Lets keep 'gelling' and working on improving our squad play.
Things to work on (yes, its been said before - but obviously we still need to work on it):
1. TS Chatter - still a bit messy. We need to stick to the rule of no unnecessary chatter. IE Don't say "OMW, did u see that? No freekin' way he shot me from there!" -or- "Woot! Just knifed that guy!"
2. CONSTRUCTIVE TS info - use the naming we put into place to pass on location of enemy, etc... "There's a guy in that building over there" is not helpful.
3. Pre-match basics: Lets get a general idea of what we want to do. For example, after we have A & B... do we hold and defend? Does B squad be the aggressive squad and try to push for another flag while A squad defends (or vice versa). Obviously, strats in game always end up changing but we need a basic idea of what to do first. If our side is quick enough from the start - we have the element of surprise and have an opportunity to get in position to attack before the enemy sets up a proper defense.
4. SL calls - this needs to come much quicker. A couple of seconds can mean losing/gaining a flag. For example, if we are losing a flag - we need to know ASAP to spawn there and defend. Or do we spawn on a ninja to try and capture another flag? I don't mean that a SL needs to be shouting orders every 10 seconds or repeating the same order over like "Keep spawning A to defend". You can start with "DEFEND A until otherwise advised"... and Bob's your uncle.
5. Keeping squads in a closer radius. If you wander too far from your squad mates, you are not going to be able to be revived and you basically just lost a ticket for our side.
6. Defensive rule - I agree it is good to have a "forward defense" but not the whole squad! In my mind, I think a medic / assault should be forward and the other medic / Engi should be sitting on the flag itself. Too many times we bunched up in a forward position just to get flanked because we did not have a proper view of the entire approach to the flag we were defending. On a similar note - TRY to keep 1 medic with a non-medic at all times.
Personally, I'd like to hear when someone decides to go ninja. Not only do you know your squad will be 1 guy down in defending - you also won't be 'shouted' at to get back in formation! ;-) If one does go ninja, don't shoot at the enemy!
Also, only SL should be making calls. I know I was guilty of this in the one round - I did give an 'order' and should not of. I was just frustrated at having to wait for an order.
I'm a soldier that likes to know what the next step is all the time.
Overall, I actually had fun tonite and I think that in itself shows a great step forward! Thanks, grrr!!
