Re: DL Committee

For the time being, I want to keep our interactions with DL consistent. As such, Fly and I will continue to be the 'face' of the clan until such time as we have reached an agreement with them.

As to a committee, I think it's a good idea. I don't want to have to spend my time chasing people for content. However, I'd like to see what our commitments are going to be towards this deal before deciding who is responsible for what.

The negative side of having a committee though, is that it invests all of our responsibility into those individuals. It's easy if you'e not a member of the committee to sit back and relax, why do anything if you're not asked to by the committee members? If this is going to work, we will all need to be proactive, giving of our own time, and thinking up ideas for content that we can offer to the DL community.

i am more than happy to be part of that, in whatever form it ultimately takes.

Yip that is what I am talking about. I not talking about people who have meetings once a week and set rules etc. It is just more a group of people who will take responsibility for our DL Relationship

perhaps the way to look at it is a core group of guys/girls that do the most commitment to actually providing content, and there would need to be someone as a primary contact person, who would also parhaps make his/her 'committee" accountable for said content

This is sounding more and more 'corporate'. :hmmm:

I like the idea of a committee, but agree with Odi when she says we should wait until we know the exact offer before deciding on a committee.

We would only know for definite what's what when the final deal has been laid out on the table between us and DL and then take it from there? We will see what is required from us and then have a look at who we have in the clan that possesses those qualities best suited to the job (or something to that effect).

Sometimes somebody else may see something in us we didn't realise we had to do a particular job, so we could throw some ideas around.

I am not talking about contributors i.e. the trench diggers! I am talking about the white dude who stands above them and tunes them where to dig.

Although the tuner can also be a digger :)

As i said in the other thread - I can help out wherever needed, but time constraints during summer will be pretty incapacitating (that means I won't have time to do stuff, Paul). In winter, I will be able to contribute significantly more than I could for the next couple of months.
