I will be there for rage.
It would be nice to have the Saturday get together (agm) with as many peeps as possible for the clan leader handover and tradition

I am entering the cosplay competition on the Saturday - along with my daughters - (star-wars theme if anyone else is interested)

PS - I will be at the meeting tonight - and I hope to not be later but I do have some commitments that might take me to 18h00

OMFG, FUCK FUCK FUCK DIDDLY FUCK!!!!...THIS IS WHY I SAID THINGS NEED TO BE DIscussed on TS but no founders arrived and so on...My main issue that I brought up three months ago, was that we did not have to do it rage weekend and we can plan in much later and do some thing special. All the replies I got from majority of you was that heatherdale has been a tradition and we have been doing it for years!... if you guys recall I clearly stated that we could do the Drakensburg or a dam or even CPT. This was the whole reason for the TS get together. Now this Sunday at 18:00 just to discuss our clan get together. I would like majority to be there and we will start a new post.

Onto the past TS discussion, I took down minutes and suggested that we have enough slush fund for people to travel freely with minimum cost. Every one clearly stated that the costs will be to high and budget constraints are there. they also brought up that Rage has always been a thing for the clan...it was always the weekend of the get together. now this is what fucks me off because the people that replied to this forum stating that they want some thing else(special) should of been on TS.

Yip, especially for things like this we need to push people to the forums from Whatsapp.

Maybe we should start now to see if we have our AGM on rage weekend or another date

Due to a monstrous amount of financial commitments being made for the next year or so, I am going to have to play everything by ear.
This year for me has been crazy with the amount of personal events too (weddings, christenings, birthdays, bachelors, work events) - i know very little about my availability. For example, I know I have 2 destination weddings in October already.

While this isn't anyone's problem really, it does mean that yet another weekend away is going to be very difficult for me, irrespective of where it is.

The dissolving of using this website and the rise of all dicussions good and bad and bullshit happening on WhatsApp has made organizing things a mess TBH. The clan is evolving a tad awkwardly, between games, newer members etc... This is a transition period. We need to try get through this patch and come back stronger than ever.

I agree that is does not have to be around the rAge weekend. I didn't even go to the expo last year...

I will be happy to make a trip to wherever we choose, as long as we set a date so I can book leave and plan accordingly.

Grant, J. How is the slush fund looking for funding some of the members who won't be able to make rage due to financial reasons? It's what it's there for, no?

I must admit - if we cant get as many of our clan together for our AGM, then i really dont want to make the financial sacrifice that I make year in and year out for the weekend.
I'm with Paul on this, in that, we can do this in November or even December, as r4ge expo is pretty much off the table, ie. October does not have to be the locked in date because it happened to coincide with r4ge previously.
We can do it in Bloemfontein for crying out loud if we had to, lets not sink everything into one venue yet either.
Rather, i'd suggest we start thinking about when a better date/time/economic scale for everyone.

Perhaps we should look into, say a campsite booking in the drakensberg or game park or something along those lines as opposed to a city? who knows - throwing it out there as that kind of trip is inevitably cheaper by order of magnitude

We have plenty of time, lets mix up with some ideas rather than settling for a city get together as it's likely to be a false start if we don't.

The consensus was that too little time was left for such a short-notice decision.

Not everyone had the saved up leave and or money for such a venture.

Also, was only myself and Kill from CPT.
