Yep - Jarrod had bought a four-pack deal. I took a copy and Lee and Phats took the other 2.

I'm keen to play!

Oh yes... the remake of the remake of the remake of the remake is here! This top down action RPG has been a real winner in the arcades for decades and is now out for PC. Well it has been for a while really, but it is now on the Steam Sale for 50% off ($10 ish) and looks like a lot of fun. The game is genuinelly hard and requires skill and teamwork. Play as the Rogue (Archer), Barbarian (Heavy Melee), Wizard (Spells) and Valkyrie (Light Melee) and race through trecherous dungeons collecting gold, tasty ham and cleansing them of filthy deamons and skele-bros. Compete with each other for score and for holding the crown for bonus points! Most players will end up selling your mates out to get the crown!

Don't expect a game that will last for decades, the content is a bit thin, but just getting through it is rewarding enough for the price! You can always up the difficulty to insane if you really want a challenge, but I don't expect much replay-ability except for old times sake. I reckon you could probably get a good month or three out of this game if you had a good team and really went at it trying to get higher in the ladders. You can plug in your console controller for extra win, in fact I think it may even be better than a mouse and keyboard style input. The controls are very simple and aim is not really required. It is more about positioning, doing the right things at the right time and working together as team.

I know Jarrod has been keen to play and I believe a couple others have gotten the game as well, so lets do a old fashioned sign up and arrange a game night! If you're interested in some gameplay vids, I have put one below so you can get a feel for it. What you see is what you get.
