No ways, did you notice who we are building this for? The guy is all about bling and how the freaken stuff looks like rather than what sits underneath. If we want to save more money, I can give him a celeron instead, but saving cost on bling is an absolute no-go!

Ps, one day I will understand people's fascination with having bling and kak for their computer cases while having the crappiest components inside them, right now, I just don't.

On a slightly more serious note, Jarrod you are absolutely correct, if we can / want to save a bit of money we can reduce the case. (I actually have 3 cases at home which I want to get rid off as well). Also, I would imagine Tiger, that your current case is still fine, so again, I would much rather suggest an upgrade on the components (read: CPU) than spending any money whatsoever on a new case.

The reason for going with my quote and the way in which I did it Jarrod, I would love an insurance idiot come and tell me I have over priced on any single component (including the case) as there are 3 times more expensive stuff available. At the end of the day, the only objective of said quote was to get the money paid into Tyger's bank account so that we can sell him a GTX780ti together with a bottom of the range Celeron CPU.

I should add that I did this quote extremely quickly, so shout if there may be something missing. (such as labour charges etc.)

by Skouperd » Tue Jan 28, 2014 11:16 am

Ok, herewith the breakdown. There are three quotes attached, the first one starts at R14,200 and include an updated i5 CPU, a reasonable motherboard, not quite such an overkill on the PSU, but overall a very nicely balanced machine non the less.

The second quote reduces the motherboard somewhat and exchange it for a much cheaper version.

The last quote removes the outdated GPU and replace it with a newer version at a reduced price.

I have included a markup of 10% on these prices after VAT, obviously said markup does not count (unless we want to make it count) to GRRR members.

Shout if you require the originals, and or if if you require any amendments to said quotes. I can also provide you a letter confirming that the hardware in question is fubar if you need that.
