The full story
We were in Stellenbosch for my cousins wedding on the Saturday. On the Sunday morning, her cousin picked us up to “go for lunch” (always planned with him) and dropped us off at a wine estate, Blaawuklippen (sp).
She started wondering where he was going when he drove off as we were meant to have lunch with him, but it was raining so I quickly ran with her into the reception area.
The guy at the wine estate that I arranged everything with was waiting for us and escorted us to a private wine cellar. After (a long) 5 minutes of her wondering what was happening, I dropped on one knee and asked her the golden question. She was in complete awe and said YES!
They brought us an awesome picnic platter (it was meant to be a picnic, thanks CPT weather) and a bottle of good bubbly.
Everything was just so surreal for the entire day. We received phone calls from the 4 corners of the earth as family and friends heard the good news.
All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal
