A common point.. A lot of us had a "bad-day" last night. Myself included.

Infantry wise, Where I believe we failed on Sharqi... We threw SO many tickets at TV Station.. like 50. And its something I am figuring out.. We look at it as the be all end all and as long as we have a troop there or a beacon there, we spawn there and get mowed down because of the difficulty of attack and bottlenecks. B is also a bit open.. A flag is the easiest and we should’ve hit that. Hard.. as in, as soon as the squad wipes, forfeit the beacon (its easy enough to get there), and just rush Alpha hard. You can’t defend A from a brute force attack. B should be hit with tank and infantry together (as SIB showed us). TV should even be forfeited due its nature. Its not as important as it was in BF2 and “getting insta’d” means fast bleed,

Damavand I can’t really comment from a ground pound POV, but I think frustrations were high at this point, we put too much pressure on ourselves and forgot the basics. Also, B flag on Damavand is 100% armor. From a chopper point of view, my worst fears came true… The inconsistency of missiles / flares / ECM.. and my inability to get the first spot. Regarding the missiles, what I mean is that I can ECM / flare, and the guided missiles / heat-seekers will still hit half the time, unpredictably. Its bullshit and I don’t like it. From getting the first spot, I don’t know why but it is something I battle with. Its basically looking at your screen for 1 fucking moving pixel, in front of a moving background.. I only get the first spot half the time.. And even if I don’t, due to the missiles BS, I sometimes win.

Just regarding spawning on the chopper and halo jumping. Guys, you need to ask me first because I may be busy fighting or spawn killing and then we lose vital time. Also, when you jump in, you need that Vodnik. The back flags have massive open spaces and getting picked off is easy as we’ve seen before.

Just my thoughts for now J

yeah - my brain and heart just didnt seem to be in it - only brought my B game.... Soz okes - I'm sure we all felt we let ourselves down. . . .but yeah - we need to get that Spearhead force with the Tank sorted again . . . its the only way to win.

Yea was just a poor game guys.
They were prepared and we were not.
They hustled, we did not.
They kept us off balance.

As soon as we gained a flag, we switched off, and it was that exact moment they rushed guys in, and took us out.
The tank has to be more aggressive.
Infantry we were so disjointed and all ova the place.

Not much we can take from this match that we can learn from, other than we need to be more AWARE.
It seem liked we were fast asleep the whole time, which allowed them in positions they shouldn't have been in.

I think the loss is due to a number of reasons.

* Hubris is a massive factor in our team; we rely on him for strats and in-game calls, plus he is our biggest killer. Not having him play was our biggest disadvantage by far.
* We haven't played a match for fkin ages because of all the postponements and DC dropping out, so we had 'ring rust'.
* by contrast, I think SiB put MASSIVE prep into this match. I reckon they got the exact first two maps they wanted us on as well; they had obviously focused their pracs on moving troops with the tank to take flags - the key tactic on Sharqui and Damavand.
* Our comms went a bit pear-shaped on the agro side. Apologies, I know I was raging, mainly because I had another SHIT night and did pretty much fkall for the team.

Time to put it all behind us and prac hard this week. Hubris will be back for our next match, and I reckon his return will buoy the team enough to win us the game on momentum alone. 2 more games to do our best and book ourselves a spot at Rage.

Hooah.

OK so we lost last night, I have been trying to think why and I can't pin point any one thing. I think it was just a case of us not geling for some reason. Maybe it was playing in different position, maybe it was just a bad night.

I definitely think we could be them though but it does mean we need to double our effort to get into the DG Finals

Be warned, it is a little bit of a mission and you need atleast a 4meg+ line apparently. The guide that Jarrod linked is quite concise.

I just read recently that DXtory clashes with any other FPS monitor (fraps, msi afterburner etc), so disable those while running DXtory.
