we should also communicate the UAC code with our challengers:

"Yoh, SSG - the UAC for our practice is grrr123"
"ZOMG, ok *shit* we need to switch off our hax then.....can we reschedule?"

n-all, n-all

Speaking of UAC

We need to get a common UAC code for prac matches, something we can add to our UAC list on the front

I suggest

grrr123

I think we were battle fatigued by the time Sharqui came around, I could see it in the way we responded to things, not as sharp as we were earlier.

I know Tyger broke down abit and thats not the end of the world, but we have to try keep in mind that this game is CLIENT side netcode, so things that seem Imposible are not always HAX - they seem that way because of the 50ms delay (with network slider all the way to the left) between YOU/SERVER/ENEMY . . You ride the good and the bad on that code, sometimes you will get the benefit of the situation - (you will see someone and shoot them before they even know you're there) or you get the bad of it (they get to see you first and shoot you instead).

It's the code of the game, UAC will take care of all our Hackusensationalism from here on out, so, while it's difficult to do, lets try remold our mindsets around "imposible" "wtF" "OMG, did you see that" etc, it's actually the game not the player. <-- This is a tough one, but necessary.

Anyway - a good practice, IMHO practices teach us nothing if we always win, we mustnt be so hung up on winning or we'll run the danger of being recruited by Assassins new Clan in the future....My motto is "Winning is everything to Losers", I'd like to think we're better than that.

anyway, here endith my soapbox

One more note on Sharqi which I think other teams will also do (ASF did) is to have a sniper at the top of TV.

A good sniper can pick of guys capping at A or Engineers repairing. It might be worthwhile to shell the top of TV every now and then

Yea well said.

I think I must take responsibility for a lot of it. It started out well and we were winning, and then I got frustrated and let that take over instead of focusing on the game. I think I effected everyone with my negativity.
I am sorry for that. A bad attitude is not excusable.

In terms of the game.

All SSG did was keep their tank alive moving slowly, when your tank went down the moved there tank. The used there tank as a launch for an attack. While another flanking team attacked at exactly the same time. They used brute force on us and it worked.
Which is why we had to use brute force to fight back. They then attacked another flag at the same time so we split.
In defence, they left 1 player at each flag, thats it.

Thats why taking flags was easy, and why we lost them so easy.

We also allowed them to control clinic, and hotel. Two key buildings that control both sides of the map.
We have to be in contol of them.

We had siene, it was ours for the win.

As for sharqui. As sated before and shown by them TV station is everything. On their defence, they basically let us have one flag, but not two.
They had a full squad dedicated to TV, and then still had the tank and roving players. TV is easy to hold with a full squad.
The dynamic is such that you expect to loose on attack, the question is by how much. It bleeds fast.
Taking TV should be out number 1 target to win the round.

Yeah good summary Paul. I was disappointed because we have what it takes to beat them, but we just need to fine tune our game and we'll do it. Lets take it for what it was, a tough match that will only make us stronger as a team.

I was shocked that Seine took an hour and a half, I think SSG wanted to play us on Seine because they know it's a big map for us and we're a big team for them. Their tank turtling tactic was specifically designed to draw me into a trap.

We do need to figure out a way to hold our flags with two guys and free up more rockets for the enemy tank. We seemed to take flags fine, but we couldn't hold them. At one point we were throwing everyone at the flashing flag, then the next and the next.

Let's take our leasons and give BUD our full attention to give them a proper beating.

I know some people might be dissapointed with last nights result and it would have been nice to win but look at it this way

First round on Siene we lost by 50 tickets, second round by just 7, First round on Sharqi we won.

This against a team that usually mows us down, against a team that has been practising with a Premier league team and who has been in a high Division that us since the begining.

So we did some stuff wrong, the thing that matters is for us to learn from it. What I think our biggest problem was, was their tank. We need to find a way to beat a team that can have 2 or 3 engineers on a tank and still have their troops take flags.

Let dust ourselves off and prepare for our match against BuD and our first league match

Last nights game against ASF was good but I think the SSG game will be a lot more tough. They usually beat us so expect extreme resistance.
We are playing Sharqi and Siene, Hubris will list the team but I am sure it will be similar to last night.
We all know Siene but things to remember for Sharqi

Flag A - Make sure you are covering all buildings in the construction area, there are basically 3 from which attacks can be mounted. Last night the squad I was in had 1 player in each building which allowed us to call out when troop were entering the opposing buildings, this allowed us to cut off attacks.

Flag B - This is crucial as it is a lot easier to get than TV and can be used as a launch for all attacks, getting this in the begining is crucial

Flag C - I cannot stress what a ticket eater this Flag can be, if we don't have it we must only launch one of 2 attacks after that we just consolidate on the other flags.

General

Mines !!! We got a lot of kills and stopped the tank so make sure you place these.
RU Tank is stealable, Dry got it twice, I think SSG will protect it better but if you get a chance, go steall it
