Re: Playing together

It makes me sad to see that clan members are unhappy about something that shouldn't even happen. BECAUSE we are 'friends and adults' we should be even more mindful of each other so we will take it personally sometimes because we are human and friendships are special to us. (Maybe I am wrong and that's not how a clan works?) Surely we are all proud to be part of such a special clan? I surely am and the times that we've squadded together produces pure, warm fuzzies.

I realise that its not always possible due to various situations/reasons/whatnotwhats....

My concern: Little bits on unhappinessesssnezz could potentially cause the strong bonds of friendships to slowly become floppy and droopy and affect us and our morale and trust of each other and therefore our strength and bond as a clan where we would need it most in our willingness to practice/play together and ultimately our effectiveness (perhaps) in clannies.

Anyway, that's my soppy, girly, motherly opinion :p

hugs

P.S. Good idea Sheri :)

Right now we have 9 grrr members playing BF3 and the server we are on is War Geeks. I think when there are numbers like this, we really need to get our own server going.

Sorry Murgs, you are right. To be honest I thought you were following us to the WrG server as well.

If I said something that insulted you then I am really sorry, I will make sure to squad up with or tell you to get your ass over to our server if for some reason we want to move.

You are 100% right though about playing together, the other night when we (all) squaded up was some of the best play I have had.

Apologies, murgs, I didnt hear you in TS at all. I did hear ppl mentioning we were joining the WrG server which was my suggestion - reason being they seem to have their server settings pretty much what I expect the league settings will be (TK on etc). I was also a bit drunk after chugging a pint of Jack Black at lunch time so may have been boisterous.

I think one of the problems may be that we're using TS as opposed to in-game VoIP which means that we're not making parties and therefore might not see other grrr's on the servers.

Moving forward, it might be a good idea to put a protocol in place whereby as soon as we have 4 or more grrr's in TS and playing, we start a new server so that we're all on the same one, and EVERYBODY has to move to it so that we don't have to waste time, energy and emotion on deciding which player(s) server to join.

In addition, I would say we may need to make a similar protocol for when we are all on one server that has filled up and have 2 or 3 people waiting to join. In that instance there should be a call to all move to a new server; if we are going to be this serious about squadding up, we should respond immediately to the call, and not wait til the end of the round/til our next death/til after we pwn the oke that just pwned us/whatever.

Final word: we're all friends and adults here, ppl, try not to take things like this too personally since they're not intentional.

If you did greet, then I missed it. But still, when the three of you started talking about which server to join, I asked why not join mine (and it had free slots, I checked). You did not give me an answer except make a joke and then still proceeded to join the BUD server. I could easily shrug this off if it was the first time, but same thing happened yesterday.

I'm insulted and angry, since I'm being treated poorly. And the lack of an apology is telling.

When I joined TS initially I did greet you and got no/heard no response. You are right in that we should be squadding together but lets communicate over the server selection rather than getting insulted and angry.

So yesterday twice times I'm playing on a server and Grrr guys come along and decide to join another server, even though my server is not full. Today Geth, J0n0 and Paul arrive, I'm on a server, they decide to join another one. Yesterday and today said on TS why not join me... I don't get a valid answer except the "haha we don't like you" crap and they still proceed to join another server.

WTF?

Are we not supposed to be squading up so we get better prepared for clan matches?

Fuck this shit!
