I have the Kaves too. Pretty good. As Murgs said, they can be uncomfortable after a long session. I have added padding to the top and they now kickass.

The marketing blurb is worth a laugh:

A Desert Eagle isn't worth its fancy name, if you don't know where to aim.

5.1 FTW IMHO (acronym day today)

If you want a 5.1 headset, the Kaves are definitely the ones to get. Personally, I don't like 5.1 headsets though, I find that you get far better quality audio through a decent pair of Stereo cans.

What I did was buy myself a pair on Sennheisers (I got the HD-555s), and then a clip on mic for VoIP. Works like a charm, and is definitely the best audio that I've had for gaming, and I've used plenty of headsets (including the Kaves, Sharkoon 5.1s, Zalman 5.1's and Sennheiser headsets (PC-160)).

That said, the Kaves are a good bet for price and build quality, so you should certainly consider them, especially if you're after a 5.1 set.

They've been great so far. Only one downside I experianced... the pads at the top where my head rests did not fit my head right. So pressure was all on middle pad. Basically I started to feel pain after an hour of them resting on my head. Took me a couple weeks to get used to them, now I don't feel a thing and I've very happy with them. Definitely would not change them now as they have really grown on me.

Ok so my birthday is coming up and instead of get like a ton of lame things from my family, Jackie has kind asked them on my behalf to instead by me a joint present.

As it would happen my headphones are packing up after like a year of use only, anyway. SO I said they could get me a decent pair of gaming headphones.

My family is not rich so all together the budget is about R600 so here are the two choice I have come up with, what do you guys think, which is better

The razer had good reviews and I have razer everything, well my accessories anyway. Only thing is it is just stereo where as this one below is 5.1

I used the Zalman's at rAge one year, Scorp had an extra pair. They seemed pretty cool but they were heavy. Is the extra 5.1 worth it? Or is a good Stereo pair fine?
