I would like to propose the following, based on the most popular nights for BF3. This guideline is premised on the agreement that Captains will maintain strategy and match scheduling threads. Denis and Paul, your thoughts and support would be much appreciated.
GRRR SQUAD WEEKLY PRACTICE
Grrr Squad practices are held each week on Tuesdays at 20:30.
All Grrr players keen to play Battlefield 3 should attend as many weekly practices as possible. Those who do not attend regularly with no good reason as to why will definitely make way for others who are keen to play. At the end of the day, its not a crisis if you don't attend; but there's no point competing if we don't practice regulary and with at least 8v8 teams.
Each Squad Leader should monitor their troops (in addition, the Nutz and Baggers Captains provide oversight) and any BF3 player may raise concearns or suggestions privately and with full confidence with the relevant captain. Where players are to be excluded based on their failure to attend, the Grrr Clan Leader must have knowledge of the Captains decision and the clan leader retains their right to overrule with suitable justification to the relevant Captain and Squad Leader.
Grrr Squad practices will not take place if there are not enough players to fill 8v8. Where captains are absent, they should nominate and brief a suitable substitute.
Routine as follows:
All Grrr BF3 players join one Teamspeak channel (GRRRSQUAD1 41.181.111.238 - grrr04n). Baggers, Nutz and other Grrrs (incl. special friends of Grrrs) join the tBagsRus server which is private and set to DoGaming map rotation (size is variable depending on numbers, preference for 8v8). Players may be requested to try new roles or play for other teams, this is not an indication that your performance has been poor or exceptional (testing combinations and skills - teamwork and recent form trumps stats).
15 min knowledge sharing and skills practice (or fool about if you have nothing to learn or contribute).
2 map Baggers vs. Nuts showdown on DoGaming maps (Captains to agree maps).
15 min post-game chat to discuss relevant issues to the Grrr clan BF3 troops.
During the post game chat, the tBagsRus server is reset to public but the DoGaming map rotation remains. Free play is encouraged on the tBagsRus server for as long as you can stay awake! If the server empties out, at least 75% of players keen to play more should agree upon and join a suitable public server.
GRRR TEAM MATCH PRACTICES
Grrr Team match practices are held the week before matches on Wednesdays at 20:30.
All Grrr Team clannies should be arranged for a Sunday at 20:00 (sorry Mnet movie fans). Where clannies fall in the week, approval must be obtained from the Clan Leader (based on a full 8v8 signup for the weekday match) and match practice is to be held on the preceding Sunday. There is no impact on the scheduling of match practices should the teams be playing an internal game or if both teams be playing matches.
Certain players may be requested to fill in for absentees and this is a great opportunity to steal a spot based on teamwork and form (we must reward those willing to help out). Players who do not attend match practice with no good reason as to why will definitely not play. The same disciplinary process as for the Grrr Squad practices applies.
Match practices are non-negotiable in terms of scheduling. We will always play the two Grrr teams against each other to show support for each other and to keep continuous improvement going. Where captains are absent, they should nominate and brief a suitable substitute.
Routine as follows:
All Grrr BF3 players join one Teamspeak channel (GRRRSQUAD1 41.181.111.238 - grrr04n) for the 15 min match chat. Thereafter, players will break up into teams and put on their game faces. By default, Baggers join GRRRSQUAD2 and Nutz join GRRRSQUAD3.
Baggers, Nutz and any other Grrr players join the tBagsRus server which is private and set to the match map rotation (size is always 8v8). Players should adopt the squads, loadouts and strategy communicated by their captain and play strictly to instruction (if you're at practice, but you don't practice, you shouldn't play either).
15 min match chat to discuss the opposition and our strategy, tactics and players.
1 round of Baggers vs. Nuts showdown on match maps (if both teams play a match, one round each map).
15 min post-game chat to discuss relevant issues to the Grrr clan BF3 troops.
The same Grrr Squad practice post-game free play rules apply after a match practice.
Finally, I hate to be the bearer of admin but I think Mr. Lee could do with a well deserved break to work on his secret projects. I would like to propose the clan appoint a tBagsRus server administrator for the season who will be trained by the eminent Duck on the dark art of server magix to enable the above. I think this provides us a nice mechanism to get up and coming leaders into the fold and test their commitment.
