Emailed Vitblitz to see if they are able to practice with us next Thursday 26 August. They moved up from the second division - winning all their matches.

They also have a server:
[+][NFX Clan] BFBC2 Server is up and running
[+]16 Slot server
[+]Conquest and Rush
[+]PB: True

Their clan review...

Founded two days before Christmas in 2006, New Found eXtremes, or -=NFX=-, battled their way into the First Person Shooter scene. NFX was founded by two people, Rudi “Dr. Pain” Strydom and Rob “Vitblitz” Muir, who then recruited a large number of friends and acquaintances.

To date, New Found eXtremes has 222 members, however only 31 are active in gaming. The 31 active members usually play Battlefield Bad Company 2, as NFX aims to have two consistent teams at all time.

NFX is owned by Rudi and Rob, where Gerrit “DJ1NN” and Rudolph “FleRoY” Coetzee manage and administrate the teams. Management for games and moderation include consistent clan games and inter-team communication — everyone needs to arrive on time.

Similar to every other team–however most do not admit this–NFX has a special rivalry. While they might be friendly rivals, NFX love playing against Inglorious Basterds. In fact, about two nights ago NFX owned iB’s second team.

Naturally, they prefer to challenge the first team, however a win is a win — play who you bring, kind of thing.

Over the next few years NFX would like to keep it casual — when compared to teams like Pantheon and Ventus: casual means friendly going with the flow. They are planning to remain in the gaming world where, in about three years time, they would like to dominate the top leagues and competitions. To be fair, they have more than enough time to get to this level, leaving new teams stuck–dead–in the trenches.

At the moment NFX isn’t sponsored however they do have their own Clan Server which holds 16 players. It’s a ranked server, and they are lucky to be able to practice without having childish-children annoying and disrupting their games.

The NFX site (linked above) allows anyone to sign up and join, as long as you’re over the age of 18. They are facing problems where those under 18 are simply too troublesome to managing — which is very true. Keeping the team at a mature age will allow for, both, strong decision and team stability over the next few years. To be blunt: children seem very volatile when gaming.

To grow local gaming, New Found eXtremes suggested more competitions. It’s important to note that more competitions allow for growth and more interest in the sport as players have something to play, and practice for. With competition-success comes the opportunity for sponsorship and endorsement — every gamers dream: paid to play.
While NFX is, roughly, four years old they are still quite new to gaming. With over 200 members their teams probably changed very often, leaving them with an ever lasting learning curve. But despite their change over the past few years, Rob said that “this year moving forward, we are competitive and learning fast.”

This essentially means that they are taking gaming more seriously, with the intent to hurt their opponents – virtually, of course.

It’s NFX’s best interest for us to note that the team is very casual and community-driven. They have a forum on their site, and they ask that whenever you’re not playing to pay a visit and get to know the guys. After all, it’s serious-business on the battlefield with drinks afterward, right?
