Hey guys, it's worth firing up your Steam accounts and heading over to the store. Up until the 4th olf July they have got some incredible game sales on, with some different offers being shown every day.
The highlight for me though must be the THQ complete pack. If I didn't already own most of the games on it i'd definitely get it. It contains the following games:
- Company of Heroes + all Expansions
- Dawn of War + Expansion
- Dawn of War II + Expansion
- Saints Row 2
- Red Faction 1 and 2
- Metro 2033
- Full Spectrum Warrior + Expansion
- Frontlines - Fuel of War (fail)
- Juiced 2
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl
- World of Zoo
All of these for the price of a single new release game ($50).
And there are loads of other publish and game sales. Check it out!!

Not neccessarily. If you are on RouteSentry, or have a WA account, you can use a program called Steamwatch to force Steam to only download from specified servers i.e the WA or IS servers. Thus your downloads come in using local only (or in the case of WA, for free).
Phatso, I also have an inordinate number of Steam games, all of which have backups. I will happily send you backups of games that you want, and you can just restore and play.
For example, out of the THQ pack I have Company of Heroes, Dawn of War II, Red Faction II, Stalker and Titan Quest (left that one off the original list - silly me). All of these games I can send backups for.
On today's sale list, they have Torchlight for $5, as well as Mass Effect 2 for $29. I have both of these available too, and they are both great games.

I was under the impression that the "WAGE Freezone" was a flop?
So in theory, I can buy 1GB of WA Local (which i think is their cheapest prepaid) and use it almost as an "uncapped" by using the Steamwatch thingie?
I have heard about the Steamwatch thing, but am quite unsure as to how it works...

You're right, it was a flop, but only because they couldn't control all Steam downloads and make them all Freezone (they wanted to make downloads from ANY steam server free.
Steamwatch is a simple little app that forces Steam to download off specific servers only. Therefore you can guarantee that you only get content from these specific servers. The only issue with this is if the content that you want is not available locally, then it will continually time-out trying to download.
You're probably better off using a RS link to download of WA and IS. That way you have a better chance of getting the content you want, and it only costs local BW. Having said that, I use WA only, and I've managed to get almost every gae that i want from them. It's only brand hew releases that may be missing, because they heven't synced with teh master server yet.
Out of interest, here is my complete Steam Game list. I have backups of pretty much all of these games, the only exception being GTA: Vice city stories, coz I haven't downloaded this yet. I can get these backups to people as required.
