Okay, so we've all been to the DVD store (and cinemas) recently, and seen all the new stuff on the shelves...
What's good, and what is a total waste of time and contract units?
What have you seen, and what did you think?
Let us know... don't be shy. I'm the moderator so the line is waaaaaay up there somewhere. Tear them a new one if they deserve it.
Please avoid posting spoilers, though.
Aaaah Movies!!! This is my speciality. I watch about 3-4 movies (at the actual cinema) a month and I get DVD's about once a month.
In the recent past I got Crank 2 and Inglorious Basterds on DVD and watched Clash of the Titans.
From now on I will give full movie revues but here is a quick rating for the following
Crank 2
=========
It is bad, it is so very, very bad! Now to put this into context you must understand I love bad movies, I can quite happily watch a Steven Segal and Van Damme festival. So if I think a movie is bad then you know it is terrible.
I can't even tell you why it was so bad because 15 minutes into it I switched it off
Iglorious Basterds
=======================
As bad as Crank 2 is, that is how good this movie is. I saw it on the circuit and then again on DVD. The stories is awesome, the camera work and MUSIC is just brilliant. The script I would not say is a master piece in terms of dialogue but it is still very good. The main "Bad" guy is brilliant though.
The only thing that people may be disappointed in is if you had the perception that this was going to be a war movie and all the action that comes with it. This is a "Thriller/Drama", there are some gory parts but it is not too over done even though it is a Tarintino movie.
Clash of the Titans
====================
This is a remake of a 1980's movie, I actually saw the original about a month ago on Hallmark. It was a load of rubbish so I thought that the new one would easily eclipse it. Well it did in terms of special effects. They were really good but for the rest of it, the movie felt like it was just going through the motions.
It had nothing to "hold on" too, it wasn't bad and if there is nothing else on you won't feel like it was a waste of time but it is definitely not a movie that you tell your friends they have to watch.
What really irritated me was that even though this was a Greek story the man character had an Australian accent (Sam Worthington from Avatar). Ok we don’t expect the cast to all learn Greek but they should at least all sound the same.
I am going to see Iron Man 2 on saturday so I will post a review here

I already posted about it in the Feast I and II thread, but Zombieland is an awesome horror/comedy for anyone who likes the zombie genre.
