I found the "search" button works well...

Click on multiplayer -> browse servers

Once the list has finished updating, click in the bar on the top right and type a few letters of the server you're searching for.
You only have to type in a partial name. It's case sensitive!
I found the igames ones by searching for iGame
and the SGS ones with SGS

Then click on each server in the list and add them to your favourites

Also, you can sort the servers by name by clicking on the top of the list on 'Server Name'. SGS's servers are preceeded by a '-' so sorting by name puts them right near the top. Couldn't find the iGame servers tho - will use the Grav method tonight (didn't know the search engine was case sensitive  )

Was keen to play. Waited for an hour to join a server. Unfortunately, there aren't enough servers for everyone and I doubt there'll be fewer players over the next few months either.

Let me know when there are servers available, or the other players start losing interest. Not going to spend an hour a day waiting for a slot on a server. It's a waste of time except if spots are reserved (like for clan practices/matches) - and don't know how useful I'd be without knowing the game. Catch 22.

Grav, I have yet to find the time to get onto a server. Maybe we can start the C Team. :hmmm:

It is a pain to join a server, but everyone is going through it. Doesn't make it any better, i know...

But join TS, when you trying to get on guys. Last night, we had a lekker full TS channel filled with "I am on Hokum, JOIN NOW A SPOT JUST OPENED GOGOGOGO!" and "I am about to quit... 3-2-1 JOIN NOW!!!! GOGOGOGGO!!" and it actually worked twice if I recall correctly.

What I am trying to say is, try keep your cool and spam that join button. You will get in eventually.

And when you do, you don't need to leave the server, ALT-TAB works well in BC2 and you can go AFK in between rounds. Seems like you have about 10m total before getting kicked.

Don't get put off, once you get in a server and get into it, you'll see its almost worth the 1 hour wait ;)

^ ^ ^ :stupid: def. have to have patients when waiting for a server but I generally don't wait longer than 10 minutes to join a server. try try and try again. Besides I'm sure other hosting providers will eventually get some servers up.

I sat clicking that 'join' button for over 2 hours. Every now and then I'd get a ctd, give it 5mins to go back, log in again, update server list... Then click some more. Very very frustrating.
Had plans to hit the servers this weekend but after last night's experience, no thanks.

Phatty's suggestion works the best, join TS. The peeps on the server can tell you whats happening plus if it does take an hour at least you are being entertained and not just staring at a screen.

And TBH, at the moment any server should do. If you try and get on to a specific server only, then you may have to wait a bit. As much as I prefer playing with grrrbians, I will typically just join the first server that has a free slot. After all, it's a newgame, you're playing with a mixture of new players and vets
anyway, and for now it's all about getting some experience with the game and making sure you have the basic unlocks for each class.

In all honesty, I have never had to wait longer than 15 minutes to get on to a server. Believe me, the game is worth that wait.

There's a bigger issue here too. The AGASA league is going to be starting up in the near future, we need to get all of our players familiar with the maps, objectives, kits, unlocks, tactics etc. If we want to compete well, it's important that we make the most of this time.

Please guys, make the effort to get on. It's really not that hard.

I waited 2 hours and all the servers were full. Sometimes it showed 1 slot open but as I clicked on it, I got the message that the server was full already. It wasn't just me waiting either... Mike was waiting for over an hour too. I was on TS and the in-game conversations are pretty good to listen to. Some classic comments, actually :D
I don't know what was more upsetting... waiting for 2 hours for a slot (on any server), or knowing that there are prob 50 other guys also refreshing their server lists and spamming their join buttons at the same time.

I suspect more people will be playing this game every day too. The waiting queue is going to get longer and longer...

SGS will be trippling (yes, that means X3) their servers any day now apparently. . . . so that moit make the queueueueue a little shorter

I also just got off the phone with Webafrica (I am missing almost 8GB of bandwidth and in the mood for a fight), any event, they will be hosting BC2 on their servers the next couple of weeks. There is apparantly a lot of hoops companies need to jump through in order to be allowed to host it. According to Webafrica, they've no jumped through those hoops and now just wait for the final approval.
