Hey Guys,

So i finally got the balls to put 1 of my finished(needs mastering, too soft atm) tracks up on soundcloud. Anyway, have a listen and let me know what you think.

P.S. Dont be like those sadistic parents of the Idols children who tell them they can sing only to end up having their dreams crushed on national tv because all the judges ears are bleeding, just be honest. :)

my 2 cents, bear in mind I am half deaf and I am more into the music of the likes of Shania Twain, Ke$ha, Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, and Celine Dion so this aint' exactly my preference. In that light, herewith my comments:

1. The tempo is too slow, increase the Beats per minute then you could turn this into an excercise type song.
2. The bass is too high, and as a result it actually started to hurt my hears (I have very sensitive hearing)
3. It has promise, but you are missing some vocals or something, just having the beat is not enough.
4. I also don't like the sudden change in volume

however, please note, I am the first to admit that I am no expert on this subject matter, so take it from where it comes.

Ontopic, Irish.. you have a talent bro. I thought it was really cool, enjoyed bopping my head to it. Didn't enjoy the male vocal at all though. "Bass drop" portion could have had more "hnnnnggggg" innit. (this is me being nitpicky, not critical)

But something just chilled n funky n deep, I thought it was great. GG bro!

I got my entire office to hear. They said it is very slow. you need to increase the tempo and change your beats a bit (include some new instruments.)

youz broz dont know your epic slowz - doesnt need to be acceleratoraered - donna be a silly - tis purrrfect. Melikes - going through the mastering process can also give it more bang, freeze/flatten all your instruments/live stuff so that there is minimal processing

Then use compressor on a couple o things see how it cleans it up - if not, dont compress that line, move on to the next

It's a pot luck thing.

Then lastly - try it out on three different things 1. Car Audio 2. HiFi 3. Quality Headphones
you'll fine yourself going back and tweaking the living shit out of everything, but it'll be worth it.

I like the track - it's got my vibe

I thought it was pretty good irish. Not my kinda music that i would choose, but i enjoyed it.
Its a chilled late afternoon sun downers getting into the groove kinda track.

I see no need to speed it up.
A better vocal hook would be good, the current one is a bit bleh.

There do seem to be a few stops and starts in the track that make it not flow as well as it should.

Awesome! thanks for the feedback guys. Will do some rework and see what can be done. Just to give some more context, it is intended to be a 'disco' style track, which is generally more slow and funky, with minimal instruments. In terms of the vocals i agree, i have a terrible voice so i guess its more of a place filler at this stage. Re the bass and volume, my mastering skills leave much to be desired, but i will get there. You guys are awesome.

Also willing to improve my skills by making some custom beats for your footage videos and stuff, lemme know

Nice Irish! I really enjoyed it... but i am someone who really likes deep house... so all those noobs that cry about the tempo being slow, clearly dont understand the genre you are going for.

I would love to hear you throw a bit of saxophone into the mix... ;P

Thanks Noms! Will see what i can arrange, although, getting the sax right without someone playing it 'live' is a mammoth task, it just ends up sounding bleh.

Yep - I hear that - so many tracks I've made with this very problem - trying to tweak instruments so that they sound natural - meh

keep it up while you can - wish I had the time, it's so rewarding.

If you are happy to exchange the "A"-player for an "E"-player you could also try out Russian.

Yeah Tyger, that would be awesome, even if i could just get some recorded sax music to edit and put into tracks. I agree Duck, between life, work, gaming and exercise time is limited. Maybe if you get some time one day we can collab, trying to get Pora involved as well.
