you all remember my case mod project - http://www.grrr.co.za/showthread.php?1205-case-mode/page7&highlight=scythe
I never truly finished it and now I intend to do so, with a twist :)

I have decided I want to turn it into a Linux based pc, in order to control a drone.
the drone in question is the Parrot AR drone from http://www.mantality.co.za/stuff/rc/69907.html
Apparently it can be controlled by a linux OS and a joystick. WOOHOO since I was given the F.L.Y 5 by the mad catz agents and I have an almost working PC I am hoping this wont be too difficult. there is a little bit of info regarding this "mod" and I hope to do this all by rage 2014.

once (or at the same time) I have managed control of the drone by PC I want to turn the protective shroud of the drone into something that resembles the scythe (same one as my pc mod).

(The story with the Cyborg F.L.Y. 5 Flight Stick - it was given to me as a broken unit at rage by the kind gents from mad catz - I was able to find the issue and repair it and it now works well - not so well in BF4 though)

SO - I am short a drone - I hope to have that sorted by end of Jan
I am short some ram - I gave the existing ram away thinking I wouldn't need it
I am short a HDD - but I am sure I can scrounge one from my old pc.
other than those - all I now need is to get knuckled down and make a start.

part of what I will do for Jan is cover the existing scythe (mobo cover) with carbon fiber - as it is the foam is fragile and it is getting damaged easily.
I also intend changing the layout so that the scythe is actually away from the sunderer - IE looking like it is properly shooting the vehicle and not being supported by the "rockets"

Awesome Fly I did some research into drones a while back! Will try dig up the info. a quad copter is the best and most stable format!
